Love the food in the Assembly Food Hall! Ordered takeout from the Germantown location: Beef Noodle Soup and the Seared Hot Dumpling Bowl with Chicken Dumplings. Food was absolutely delicious.

Let’s start with the food being pretty good. My husband and I got the beef noodle soup and some fried dumplings. Beef had great flavor and so did the broth, my noodles were undercooked but guess they cooked a bit while waiting for my server to come back as I had no drinks… also ordered the honey dew fruit tea with lychee jelly and that was delicious! The dumplings have an extra charge to fry them… sooo to use kitchen utensils it costs lol, not adding anything extra to the dumplings but okay fry em up steamy boy.
Back to the service… There was hardly anyone in there, some here and there pick ups.. I guess since gratuity is already in the price then coming back to the table is optional. I was offered several things that I didn’t even ask for and after saying yes I still didn’t receive them (extra bowl, water (I understand the water is service yourself, but why say “I’ll get it for you” then dont.)) anyways not that big of a deal I am not intitled to the service, just don’t offer it girly.
Overall bad vibes. Terrible awful music to be in such a musically inclined place. Thank you though.

This place has amazing flavor. The soup was rich and spicy, the seared dumplings were killer, then the soup dumplings were juicy and just overall a 10 out of 10. Way underated and way better than most places I’ve had this at. Well done.

Dumpling place in Germantown. Lots of options for different types of dumplings including filling and steamed vs fried. The bao buns were the best thing on the menu. Would recommend those. I would not recommend the soup dumplings. The teas were very good and I recommend!

I came. I saw. I dumpling-quered.
This spot in Nashville absolutely steamed its way into my heart. From the first bite, I knew I was in a soup-erb situation. The braised beef soup was rich, cozy, and deeply comforting — the kind of flavor that wraps around you like a warm bao hug.
Speaking of baos… these pillowy clouds of happiness were nothing short of bao-tiful. Soft, perfectly filled, and dangerously easy to devour. I told myself I’d share, but let’s be real — that plan folded faster than a poorly wrapped dumpling.
And the soup dumplings? Pure magic. Each bite was a delicate balancing act of flavor and molten goodness. One gentle nibble and suddenly I was broth-struck. They were so good, I almost ordered another round just to wonton more.
Service was friendly, atmosphere was inviting, and every dish felt crafted with care. This place isn’t just good — it’s dumpling down on excellence.
If you’re in Nashville and craving comfort wrapped in dough, do yourself a favor and roll on over. Trust me, your taste buds will be forever gyoza-gratified.

Food is great! The beef soup I got was good. Very expensive though. My husband got popcorn chicken rice bowl and it was $7 for just the popcorn chicken, and to add rice is another $7, which the server didn’t even mention. That’s the most expensive plain white rice we’ve had! Ambiance is okay. It would have been better if there were no bags and backpacks lying on the corner, which I’m not sure why. Also, the place doesn’t have trash can anywhere, which is weird.
Bathroom is clean at least and I would rate 4 out of 5.

This is a cozy little spot for some comfort food and atmosphere which is perfect for the fall weather. We stopped here to grab a bite for a late lunch. We started with their vegetarian seared bao which was so fluffy and moist. The filling had a lot of flavor. My husband got the beef shank which he absolutely loved. The soup had a lot of flavor and the noodles had a great texture to them. I ordered the hot dumpling bowl with vegetable dumplings which were originally not on their menu but they were happy to make them. The dumplings had a lot of flavor but they were a little too spicy for me. Overall it was some good food at a very reasonable price. Do try their tiger sugar tea.

Mannn I so wish Steam Boys would open a location in Knoxville. I think this and the other locations are probably the only place in Nashville maybe the state you can purchase homemade Xiao Long Bao Soup Dumplings.
I wish they had a few more noodle or rice options to go with the soup dumplings. But otherwise everything was so tasty!!

First time in Nashville and my sister recommended we try Steamboys. The beef noodle soup was so delicious, plenty of beef and noodles!!! We also had some steam dumplings (not pictured) and boba drinks. Great meal overall, service was great. Decor inside was nice, but I saw a box of backpacks on the floor in the corner don’t know why that was there.
