We made a 630p reservation for 5 people on a Wednesday evening. There seemed to be ample seating when we arrived, so not sure if we really needed a reservation. We got there about 10 minutes early and were told we needed to be seated AT 630, which seemed a bit odd. Nolan was our server and greeted us right away with a carafe of water and a smile. We ordered a bottle of the Pasa Robles Cab Sauv, the Sourdough Bread and Corn Fritter appetizers. Both were delicious! The Caesar salad might’ve been the best I’ve had. We ordered an assortment of steaks to include the filet, ribeye, and KC dry aged strip because we’d never tried a dry aged steak. It was interesting and a very different flavor. All the entrees came with one side and choice of sauce. Most opted for garlic mashed potatoes and horseradish but I got the basil pesto, which was delicious. The steaks were all cooked to the requested temps. We topped off our meal with the cheesecake and dark chocolate crème brûlée, both being excellent choices! The entire meal was amazing and I can’t say enough about the excellent service we received from Nolan. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Steakhouse Five, and it was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had—definitely the best steakhouse in Murfreesboro and possibly the best we’ve been to anywhere.
From the moment we sat down, the service was flawless. Our server, Chad, was incredible. He was unbelievably knowledgeable about the menu, charismatic, funny, and genuinely attentive. He took the time to walk us through the selections, made thoughtful recommendations, and went above and beyond to make my wife feel special on her birthday. His attention to detail and personality elevated the entire evening.
The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the level of service was truly unmatched. We couldn’t have been happier with our decision to celebrate such an important night at Steakhouse Five.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience. We will absolutely be returning!

First time here and must admit it was enjoyable. The lack of seasoning on the steaks questions the price. We had the wedge salad (awesome), potato crisp and dip (heavenly, and the filets (bland with little seasoning). Wine also (very good selection). The brûlée and coffee we’re amazing. Total spent with tip $245. Great date night would consider going again.

I recently visited Steakhouse Five for their Rodney Strong wine collection tasting, and the whole experience ended up being one of the most enjoyable dinners I’ve had in a while. The food itself was genuinely good—nothing felt overdone or forced, just well-executed dishes with flavors that stood on their own. What really elevated everything, though, was the wine pairing. Each Rodney Strong pour had its own character, and every glass seemed to blend seamlessly with the course it was matched with. It wasn’t just “wine with dinner”; it actually enhanced the food.
The service deserves a shout-out as well. Our server was attentive without hovering, and they clearly knew the wines, which made the tasting feel more personal and engaging. You can tell when a restaurant cares about the details, and that showed throughout the night.
Overall, it was a relaxed, flavorful evening with excellent hospitality and standout wine pairings. I’d easily recommend it to anyone looking for a great steakhouse experience with a well-curated wine selection.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Steakhouse 5 celebrating our 45th anniversary and my wife’s birthday. Our food was delicious, the wait staff very attentive and the atmosphere very nice for our celebration.
My criticism of this meal is based on my expectation of a magical evening that went over as only an ok experience with the food.
We ordered the prime rib special which came with one side basically a baked potato or substitute. My wife ordered the meal with the baked potato and I opted for brussels sprout and bacon (which was delicious). Our meals arrived in under 10 minutes. These were supposed to be 16 ounce cuts of prime rib – my wife’s cut looked to be on the money mine actually was much smaller than hers. So there was no consistency with these meals. Her potato came without anything on it – maybe a little butter, we couldn’t tell. There was no offer of toppings not even salt and pepper. There was no offer or presentation of bread or anything you would normally get from an upscale restaurant. The meat was not hot but it tasted great. The wine tasted great and the Dark Chocolate Crème Brule was excellent. We will go back again but order a regular menu item next time.

Excellent meal at Steakhouse Five last night. Girlfriend and I went and did the “Date Night” menu on Tuesdays. Doesn’t come with bread, but the starter bread is great. On the date night menu, we got Cesar and iceberg wedge salads..Cesar was really good. For entrees, we got lobster pasta and salmon with the Brussels and potatoes. Both excellent. Plenty of food and came out hot. Service was great too. Recommend this as a Tuesday night spot!

I have been to this restaurant twice now, and each time I left I thought “My food was good, but I wish I had ordered something else.”
This most recent time, I tried the $76 bone-in ribeye. While it was cooked properly, and ended up being decent, it wasn’t the “Oh my goodness, this is one of the best steaks I’ve ever had!” experience I was hoping for with that price.
The Duck Pastrami appetizer has been very good both times we went there.
Overall, both visits have been a very “meh” experience, and when you’re celebrating something important (like anniversaries) and you’re paying top dollar, you expect a “Wow!” experience.

I went here on a date night with my wife. The service was tremendous and awesome. Best that I’ve had in several months. The atmosphere was intimate and good for dates. But the food didn’t live up to the expectation.
The steaks were cooked to the right temperature and the sauce they were served with was good. However, the flavor of the steaks sadly weren’t good enough to stand on their own. They seemed to be cooked to be eaten with the sauce as part of the steak instead of the sauce being an enhancement to the steak. I got a bake potato which strangely tasted out of place. I don’t know if it’s because the type of potato (something other than a russet) or if it was overcooked. My wife got the garlic mashed potatoes and it was quite under seasoned.

We have eaten here a few times and it just misses the mark. We want to love it and we just can’t. Does anyone that works there actually try the food they serve? We went for Valentine’s Day with a special $200 including tax for two people menu and the food was terrible. I must start with the very last thing they brought us as it was the star of the show. Something the waitress called saffron cookies. If someone could take the essence of the worst city water in the country, concentrate it, and put it in a cookie this place nailed it. They were so bad we had to take them home to prank our children. The salad was a handful of lettuce spritzed with what tasted like plain vinegar. The duck appetizer was about maybe an ounce or so of duck stacked with a pile of sprouts soaked in what tasted like fresh ginger and topped on a giant bland, rubber pancake that we need a steak knife to cut into. This thing would have bounced off the wall had we tried. The chocolate dessert was something brownie like but not quite that texture in a puddle of plain cream about 1/4 inch thick and gave dark chocolate a bad name. The tables were so close together we could fully partake of each couple on either side of us’ conversation and the waitress’ body parts would literally hang over our table when she would walk between them to help any of the tables. So close that really they should have just sat us all at the same table. Not exactly the best romantic atmosphere for a date. This was our last time. As much as the cookies brought the laughs of our whole family as our unsuspecting children spit them out, we just wont do it again.

This is a very nice restaurant with very good service. The steaks we had were very good and well prepared. The ranch dressing they serve might be the best I’ve ever had. Go eat there and you can thank me with a like.
