Portion size was good, wish the steak was seasoned a little more but it was cooked to perfection. The server did his job but he was a little cold. I really didn’t like the way he dropped our check off or brought the receipt back. He didn’t say thank you for coming out anything. Just flung it on the table and kept it moving. Yes we did tip him well and in cash 25%. It was nice place but probably won’t return.

I visited Steakhouse 85 with my colleagues for a work dinner, and had a great experience! The seafood towers were delicious, as were the flavorful mocktails. Cilantro Lime Shrimp and Lobster Tails were out of this world with flavor!! Lastly, the Caramel Apple Tart for dessert ended a peak dining experience. The staff were all very friendly and did a great job at serving the group. Highly recommended!!

this place is absolutely amazing! the food, the atmosphere, the staff, everything! my fiance and I came here for our anniversary this past Sunday and it was an awesome experience. Nickie was our waitress and she was a VIBE! she made the whole experience even better. she was high energy like me so we got along perfectly she was so sweet, and her recommendations were a 10/10.
Now for the food. I got the pineapple cocktail (can’t remember the name) which wasn’t too sweet, which I love and it had the perfect amount of alcohol. the clams were fresh and delicious. my fiance and I both got the cowboy ribeye, cooked medium/medium well and it was melt in your mouth!!! it was cooked and seasoned perfectly. the perfect size too! and that sauce they give on the side w it? to DIE for. we were trying to figure out what it was, it tasted like cocktail sauce and bbq sauce mixed together and it was mouth watering. the mac n cheese was good, I just don’t care too much for white cheese mac so it wasn’t exactly the flavor I was hoping for but it was still good. the sweet potato casserole was addicting.. I could not stop picking at it even when I claimed I was full. it was sweet and delicious. lastly, the creme brulee was exactly what was needed after that heavy meal. it was light and creamy, the caramelized sugar on top was perfectly crunchy and delicious.
This place was overall a 10/10, the atmosphere and decor was so nice and cozy on a cold winter night. I highly recommend coming here!

I really wanted to give this a five star rating. We’ve been here multiple times as a large party and the food has always been consistent. Though I’ll be honest, my piece of salmon was smaller than the fillet mignon. This time since we were having dinner late I wanted to take my dessert to go. I had ordered a crème brulee. It was scooped and smushed into a condiment cup. I didn’t notice until I left the restaurant. Needless to say, I am very unhappy with how my dessert was handled and the overall declining quality of this restaurant. Maybe it’s time for a change in venue.

Had no idea about the place but it was packed and across the street from Stress Factory. Had a pastrami seasoned steak with mash potatoes and my wife had the red snapper. Both of us enjoyed the food but at the price it wasn’t justifiable. Steak was done right and was tasty as all dam hell. The rock shrimp appetizer was so good i feel like it should be made into a meal.

Located near train station with garage across the street. S85 fits mold of local steakhouse with extensive wine list, cuts and sides. House made steak sauce was excellent and the pork chop cooked to perfection. Wine come with decanter. Portions are sizeable too.

Stakehouse 85 made my engagement amazing! They were so accommodating and the food was amazing. So was the drinks! I highly recommend! The staff also did a great job capturing the moment for us!

This is a very upscale restaurant and the menus are lit up so that you can easily read them, which is an excellent start to the entire experience.
The ambience gives a very posh feeling. The waiters the waitresses are very attentive and quick to explain each and every single dish and help you choose something which would be best for your taste and liking.
Each dish that came out was full of flavor and cooked exactly as ordered. The folks at the table really enjoyed their steaks and I’m a vegetarian and had a wonderful ratatouille dish..
After all the main dishes were consumed, we also enjoyed their immensely delicious desserts.
I highly recommend this restaurant.

Kicked off the first day of my birthday celebration at @steakhouse.85 in New Brunswick and let me tell you, if you’re a steak lover, this is hands down one of the best steakhouses in Central Jersey. The atmosphere is upscale but comfortable, perfect for a special night out. Our waiter, Paul, went above and beyond his knowledge of the menu and the way he described each dish made me want to order everything. Service, food, and experience were all top tier. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you’re in the area!

Hands-down, the best steak I’ve ever had and scallop potatoes and au gratin broccoli. They also had some type of bacon wrap was amazing. It was also the best most delicious strawberry lemon drop I’ve ever had. The staff is so sweet and attentive and they know the menu so well and the menu is pretty large. I know I could never. Definitely worth the money. I’m always coming back. I recommend this place to everyone, on the price of your side, but again very much worth it.
