Had the pleasure of eating at Steak38 with my coworkers while visiting New Jersey, this place was amazing, the Old Mob atmosphere and vibe was authentic, Sinatra pictures and music playing. The best Ceasar salad I have ever had made table side, the dressing was made while we watched. Had the filet mignon prepared perfectly, mashed potato’s and green beans, and the best banana’s foster I have ever had for desert. This place was phenomenal and I can’t wait to go back. Staff were very friendly and the service was quick. 10/10

Amazing! Food is incredible. Steaks are delicious but we were surprised by how good the rest of the food was too! Get the blue cheese chips, sweet potato waffle fries (trust me on that one), crab cakes and table side bananas foster. You won’t regret it. Maura is an amazing server. Sam came around and sang to everyone and it was beautiful! The management takes a lot of pride in providing an overall experience not just good food.

Visited Steak 38 in Cherry Hill during the holiday season. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller as our appetizer. Honestly, these were underwhelming. The flavor just didn’t hit right, I’d rate them around 3/10.

For the main course, I had the Seafood Fra Diablo with a white wine sauce — absolutely phenomenal. It came loaded with lobster and whole pieces of crab meat, and everything blended perfectly. This dish was hands down a 10/10 and something I’d definitely order again.

Others at the table had the Ribeye with garlic topping, asparagus, and a side of mac and cheese. The ribeye was described as “good”— a well-cooked steak but nothing that stood out. The mac and cheese, however, was creamy, 7.5/10.

For drinks, we went with 38 Cosmos, which were strong, well-balanced, and delicious — perfect if you like your cocktails with a little kick.

First I want to start off with our waiter Sam. I’ve had hundreds of waiters, never a had one quite like him. He sings phenomenally, shares his life story with you, checks in at the right times, and was just all around perfect and made you feel like family. Secondly goes the prime rib. It was the thickest, juiciest, and most tender and flavorful prime rib I’ve ever had. Drinks hit the spot, kudos to the bar tenders! Food was hot, kudos to the kitchen staff! And last but not least the banana fosters. If you haven’t had it, you need to. One final kudos to the valet guys as well, quick prompt service. All around applause to everyone at Steak38 Cherry Hill for being as busy as they were and made sure everyone was satisfied!!!

I was stranded for two days next door due to the Jan 2026 airport shenanigans and I’m upset I didn’t go here the first night. Amazing happy hour (the $12 bottle of cab was better than I anticipated) and the service was great. Atmosphere in the bar was perfect. I had a bottle of wine and read til the bottle was empty. I will probably never be in this town again and that’s a shame cause I won’t be able to go here..

So odd that its attached to a seedy hotel but OMG it was amazing. Overlook the parking and location and just go, you won’t regret it. The place gives you old school Goodfather vibes and I loved every minute of it, from the music to the red chairs. Ceasar salad made tableside…fantastic. Filet Mignon…fantastic. Bananas Foster….fantastic. Wine….perfect. Will definitely go again, and again!

Finally went to steak 38 after years of hearing people talk about it. I ordered the ribeye and it was good, not phenomenal. We ordered the blue cheese chips and they were great! Overall, our group had a wide range of things on their menu.

Ribeye- 7.5/10
Crab cakes- 7.9/10
Strip with truffle butter- 6/10
Blue cheese chips- 8.8/10
Bananas foster – 8.1/10
Butter cake- 7.3/10

Overall, it was a nice place to have a birthday dinner. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the cocktails. Service was a bit slow but we had a very large group so it could be that! I’d recommend giving it a go ◡̈

Nice ambiance. A little loud near the singer, but staff was great all night and offered to move our party of four without us asking. It was then easy to talk quietly with each other.

This was my partner and i’s first time dining here. The food was absolutely delicious, some of the best steaks we’ve ever had. Especially thanks to our server Rob, he made the experience even more memorable. Great service and great food, definitely will be back!

I visited Steak 38 with my partner, who wanted to treat me to a celebratory dinner to show her appreciation for my hard work. We sat in the Sinatra room. Unfortunately, for a $300 meal, the experience was marked by poor hospitality and concerning kitchen practices.
The service we received was remarkably dismissive. Our waiter initially declined to go over the specials; it was only after we began asking questions about the menu that he briefly mentioned them. When I asked for clarification because I couldn’t understand his delivery, he refused to repeat himself and openly rolled his eyes at me. It felt as though we were being treated as an inconvenience rather than guests. If an establishment has a specific clientele in mind, I would prefer they simply mandate a suit jacket at the door rather than taking our money and providing such ‘tired,’ disrespectful service.
The culinary execution further compounded the issue:
* The Steak: My medium-well steak was overcooked. While a common error, it was disappointing given the price point and the fact that Sontra room was not filled with guest.
* Health and Safety Concern: My partner’s salmon arrived significantly undercooked. When we alerted the waiter, the kitchen committed a major health code violation: instead of preparing a fresh piece of fish, the chef took the partially eaten salmon off the plate and placed it back on the burner. It was returned to us charred on the exterior while remaining raw in the center.
Re-firing a used plate is unacceptable at any level of dining, let alone at a steakhouse of this caliber. We have had more consistent meals and professional service at the Longhorn in Cherry Hill. We left feeling that our business was not valued, and given the food safety lapse. I will be coming back to ensure the management knows what it feels like to be treated like trash. See you 4pm
