This went downhill. This review is for the truck at boat basin. They used to use thyme basted steak, and the mashed potatoes and corn used to have so much flavor when this truck was at the agha juice location. Now its all bland. So disappointed because this was the only good halal steak option that I know in houston.

This is inside / part of Imperial Pho, which also has all the stuff Halal (confirmed by the employee). Good, nice and clean place with huge area. The food was very good. We tried both Pho and Rib eye steak, and both were excellent. This is a nice Halal place which lot of people don’t k ow about. A must try.

First time experiencing ribeye steak at this food truck. The steak was cooked (medium rare) to perfection but lacks the flavor in my opinion. For the price point, I feel it is a little overpriced especially with the many steak night places around town that all includes sides at the same cost. The garlic butter corn is nothing spectacular and should be included with the entree.

Been to Steak Spot about half a dozen times. For a food truck, their steaks don’t disappoint.
I have had Ribeye, Top Sirloin and Chicken steak (lemon pepper). On the sides, they have creamy corn, mashed potatoes and rice. Don’t think they offer fries anymore. Last time I literally saw the fries get peeled , cut and fried. The chef also does brisket on Thursdays and Mondays as well. I have tried their steak medium rare/ medium and medium well and they get it right each time.
Today they luckily had a batch of halal Wagyu NY stips (A3), which I didnt want to miss. Getting halal wagyu is extremely difficult to find. Got the steak medium well and it was tender and juicy. I’ll let the picture do the talking here.. I bet someone with dentures could eat it. Now that’s a bit of figurative speech, but you get my point.
The place is crowded with other food trucks and you may have trouble finding a parking spot. He cooks to order, so you can have a wait time of 20 -25 minutes.

I had an overall excellent experience with The Steak Spot. Here are the details: I wanted to arrange lunch for 13 people on Saturday afternoon. I called Steak Spot on Friday evening around 6pm and got in touch with Adnan, the owner. I explained I wanted to arrange a steak lunch the next day. He graciously agreed to cook the steaks earlier than normal operating hours, on a Saturday, to accommodate my request. I gave him a complicated order of several different types of steaks all cooked to different specifications and we agreed on a pick up time.
The next day I arrived on the agreed upon pick up time. He invited me into the truck and he had just completed cooking and placing all the steaks into trays. He had intuitively arranged all the steams (medium rare together and well done together) and helped me load my car with the trays. He provided spicy BBQ sauce and even gave me extra garlic butter to reheat the steaks if I wanted to.
The steaks ended up being perfect – flavorful and cooked exactly to each of our preference.
Adnan not only provided excellent customer service but he was responsive, on time and the food was excellent. I will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu and will plan again to cater from here in the near future. Wish Adnan and team all the success in his business endeavors.

– Philly steak sandwich: WOW. Just wow! Not only the food was great, their customer service was awesome too. We got a call as soon as our order was ready and we ate it hot! I’ve had Philly steak sandwich from other places but Steak spot is definitely the best hands down!

This review is for thr food truck at boat basin. Visting from Dallas and did not have high hopes and I could not have been more wrong. I ordered the steak sandwich and it was delicious. Soft steak flavorful sauce and frsh greens. Will definetly try the NY Strip steaks next time.
