This was my second visit to Athens,Alabama Steak Out. During my first visit, the overall vibe felt off, but I decided to give the location another chance. Unfortunately, on my second visit I was served a steak that was partly raw.

After learning that this location is corporate-owned, I felt it was important to share my experience, as this seems like an issue that should be addressed at a higher level. Being served improperly cooked food is concerning and reflects poorly on consistency and quality standards.

Unfortunately, this experience has resulted in this certain steak-out to no longer earning my business. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve future guest experiences.

After ordering $62 worth of food for a picnic lunch, I met the delivery guy for pick up. He forgot the drinks. When I got to the picnic area to unload the food, there were no eating utensils. Lesson learned, do not tip the driver until you check every bag to make sure you have what you ordered. The time spent for most of our lunch hour was spent driving back to a grocery store to buy drinks and eating utensils. Food was cold by the time we could quickly eat it. I called Steak Out to request a refund on the drinks and to let them know there were no eating utensils. I was told by the manager I would get a refund for the drinks. As of a week later, I still have not received a refund. Poor customer service.

Iam totally disappointed in our local steak out here in Athens.I have just gotten food there like I do quite often. The steak was grey and smelled sour. I tried it and was not good I was so excited to get steak out because I had been at the hospital with my mom. The female manager wanted me to come back so she could recook my sour steak that was supposed to be medium by the way, ot is cleary medium rare. I wish you could smell it. My husband’s and sons are the same way. I just wanted to get a refund on my expensive meal that o was not able to eat.Btw she told me to come back because she needed to see it before she threw it away.. Small town store trust your recurring customers.. Do better!

Hands down this is my favorite restaurant for both pick up and delivery service! The steak is always fresh, hot, deliciously seasoned and cooked exactly as I ordered it. The chicken sandwiches are fantastic too. My “go-to” for family celebrations at home, romantic Valentine’s dinner at home, or just needing a great and healthy dinner after a hard day at work. I’ve gotten all my friends, family, and corporate clients hooked on Steak-Out too. Thanks Steak-Out!!y

I was told 15 to 20 minutes for a pick up. I stayed at home for 10 minutes and then left. I got there and they took my money. I waited at least 30 minutes to get order. When I got home my chicken was burned for my chef salad. I probably will not return.

***Update: I worked with Steak Out directly and they replaced my meals at no charge. The replacement food I received was a 10 out of 10 and what I always expected out of Steak Out. I will definitely be back and highly recommend them!***

Had a pickup order for 2 mixed grills w/tips & chicken. Picked up my order at 8:20 and was told they didn’t have any tea because they were getting ready to close… The steak tips were supposed to be cooked medium and were a shade shy of charcoal bits. The chicken was basically the same and was super overcooked and tough. My potato on one of my orders was tiny and a disappointment. I also had 2 cheesecakes which were both frozen solid and not edible for hours.

This was such a disappointment especially after paying $60+ for a meal. I should have went across the street to Burger King and saved $40.

First and last time here. Came in and placed an order. Moved to the side so that I wouldn’t be in the way. Others came in, placed their order and was out of there. I think they forgot about my order honestly. Waited a very long time and after I moved back into view my order came out, get to the car only to notice i only had half of my order! Sorry Madison Steakout, I’ll NEVER cheat again! The floor was dirty, my salad was brown and the guy on the grill only had one glove on. Shut’er down because this will make someone sick….. and it won’t be me!

So disappointing! I was craving steak so I spent $40 and couldn’t even enjoy my steak. They put steak sauce on it. I want to taste my steak I don’t like steak sauce. First I ordered online and I made sure not to put steak sauce but that didn’t go through so I had to call . If you’re not sure if somebody wants steak sauce, put it on the side. Don’t ruin a $40 meal with steak sauce. I won’t take that chance again for that kind of money.

I love Steak-Out, but what’s the point of putting an online ordering option on your website if I have to call the store to pay with a credit card? It’s the internet…the main (and I would argue, only) form of payment used on the internet is CC. So dumb.

Food is always yummy, but when I ordered 4 side cups of diced grilled chicken, they combined it into 1 tiny container which was probably the equivalent of 2 normal side chicken cups that I have ordered here in the past. $20 for this tiny box of chicken! Wanted 4 servings not 2.
