Usually like this chain, but this one was a joke. Place deserted at 4 pm not just because of water dripping, but because 19 year old hipster doofus manager spent his time either eating or loudly hitting on or bullying his high-school girl employees. Never got a greeting or a thank you or even a check. Had to go up to the counter to get check, and then was given an amount go pay, not a bill. Whole experience left me feeling dirty.

We went on a Saturday evening with a party of 10. We were seated right away. Our order was taken within a few minutes and was all correct when it was served within a normal amount of time. The food was very good and served warm. The restaurant was clean. I really don’t understand the terrible reviews as everything about our visit was great. I have no relatives or friends who work here, this is an honest review.

Food is priced really cheap and quality is pretty decent. I didn’t have any service issues at 7pm. They were at about a third capacity with several waitresses. Not the fastest service(food delivery time) but there was a large group that was served just before me so I realize there is only so much food you can prepare at once. but waitress was nice and checked on me regularly. No complaints here.

Went to eat after the royals game last night only to be greeted by 3 angry employees at 1030 pm! Not only were they rude but didn’t even give us our full order. We missed one bowl of chili and then didn’t get chili on out fries we ordered also. Then didn’t get any napkins or the cup of water we asked for. Then all we heard was how the 3 associates guessed the wouldn’t be leaving on time as the spoke to each other. Rang up our bill for one tab when we had asked for 3 tabs. And while paying our bill one of the associates sitting by us as were leaving asking about his tips as we paid. This was on 8/30/2017. Not good service at all and even worse attitudes. Thank those gentlemen for a terrible experience!!!!!

The FOOD was good, our server Quentin was decent, but nothing else!!! 5 minutes to get our order taken 15 minutes later we get our drinks, two out of four had to be taken back. Took 30 minutes to get our food. One of the cooks used the restroom at the same time as myself without washing his hands. The restroom itself could make you sick alone, the floors of the whole place were disgusting but the bathroom went beyond words! The floor had been freshly “mopped “ but they missed the walls and the plunger with toilet paper and feces all around it. We were apparently an annoyance to the workers, even our server who seemed to be the only one trying eventually was getting overwhelmed by the end. I can tell you this we are from the Springfield, MO area and even with 10 times the number of customers we received incredible and quick service at all of the other locations we have visited! We will NOT be giving any more of our money to this location!! Horrible!!

I love Steak and Shake – the meals are good and inexpensive generally. But this particular location is simply a poor representation of the chain. The service was average at best and the burgers were warm (not hot). My table did not have any pepper sauce, and when I asked for some I was brought a nearly empty bottle, leaving me to grab another off a different table when the first one ran out quickly. But the smell in the restaurant was horrible – for the second time in as many visits it smelled strongly like mildew (a very unpleasant experience when you’re trying to eat). Thankfully it was just me; I’d hate to have dropped more than a couple of dollars on that experience.
