Boyfriend and I came for lunch. Asked for chili five way (easy on the noodles) with extra chili beef. Boyfriend ordered two frisco melts. Once we received the order, his frisco melt patties were not even the same size. It was one and a half patties vs two full patties. Pics included. I had to ask the waitress for an extra small bowl of chili as all I received was chili noodles a few beans, no extra chili beef, cheese no onions or special red sauce on top aka ketchup. We addressed it with one manager. She took our complaint to manager over kitchen. She said our order was correct. Waitress was nice but had seven tables full of people all by herself. Unfortunately we won’t be back.

It has been YEARS since we’ve dined at a Steak & Shake. Oh boy, it’s not what we remembered. The food quality, from burgers to fries were so disappointing. Thin, almost cardboard like fries and super thin patties leave you wondering what the heck you ordered. We will definitely not return.

The burgers were great! Our table had a few different ones, but no complaints at all.
I will say, they had so many open tables/booths that they stick us by the bathrooms. I was not a fan of that.

We were in town for the holiday and had the pleasure of two delicious late-night meals at Steak ’n Shake. Both times, Clayton was our server, and he was absolutely wonderful. He’s a very respectful and polite young man, and our orders were perfect and came out quickly even with a busy crowd. On our second visit, Clayton even surprised us with some origami — such a thoughtful touch that we’ll always remember. The little things go a long way! Thank you, Clayton, for making our visits feel special, even in a spot as familiar and casual as this.

Our server was an old blonde lady working the register. We sat for 15 minutes before getting our order in, including drinks. Sat for another 15 minutes before getting a drink. She refused to put my shake in a cup for my son to share with me. Kids can’t have ice cream now? Refused to separate a grilled cheese from the kids menu. This place is gross. Table was dirty.

Wife and I stopped in got seated and that was it. Sat there for 20 to 30 min nobody just ignored no drinks just menus and no service as everyone else was being waited on? Wife and I enjoy this establishment but won’t be back after last experience.
