First time here- pleasantly surprised! Great burger, delicious shakes and friendly service. Prices are fair for what you get. Bathrooms could be cleaner but that’s my only complaint.

It had been awhile since i had been in a steak and shake and it sounded good so i decided to drop by for dinner. The food was really good and the service was even better. Staff were super helpful and nice.
While i was there waiting for i food i noticed an older couple come in and they were struggling with the kiosk to order there food, seeing that one of the workers came over and helped them with there order. All the staff i interacted with for nice and i would definitely go back again.

This place used to a staple for Bloomington’s but now it’s a disappointment. I have tried to eat there a few times this year, keeping hope that they would improve and return to how they used to be. Food is always served incorrectly or cold, or they just straight up miss half your order. Most of the employees have horrible attitudes and will often scream and yell throughout the establishment. Getting a refund or food remade is nearly impossible. I wish they would close this franchise for good instead of hiring worse people and lowering their standards for cleaning, customer service, and the quality of their food in general. Literally just got food from there and the cup was covered in grime and oil, and had what looks like someone’s booger on it. Unless you have an immune system of steel, I highly recommend you do not eat here

The atmosphere is absolutely exquisite. No angsty playlist from a kitchen staff has ever transported me back to 2006 quite like this one. And the shakes? Oh, you best believe they were in chilled glasses and crafted to perfection. Genuinely they looked photo ready. I got some miserable news right as i arrived in the parking lot, but thanks to this staff, a healing time giggling with my friends, liquid cookie butter scrumptiousness, and the grace of the Almighty loving God…I had the best steaknshake experience in decades.

We ended up at this location because we couldn’t get seated anywhere downtown. I hadn’t been to a Steak and Shake in years, and this was, by far, the BEST location I’ve ever experienced – and I’m going to credit one young man who may be the manager. (Ok, one toilet in the women’s bathroom was broken and gross, but the rest of the bathroom was very clean, and that’s why only 4 stars.) SO polite and nice, that guy. We ordered with him vs that stupid kiosk (because he offered). He told us they’d just been slammed with a crowd, but you couldn’t tell it; the place was very clean. Later, he overheard one of my kids wish me a happy birthday, and so I got a milk shake on the house. If I’m ever back in Bloomington, I’m going to eat there just because of the excellent customer service we received.

I had a very pleasant experience at this location. Haven’t been a long time due to not so great experiences in the past. From being greeted and offered to ring my order up (instead of having to use the kiosk) the restaurant appeared to be clean and bright. The tea was freshly made and my food tasted great!

Another kiosk ordering experience and zero customer service as they just holler out your number. I even said, “Thank you,” and no response. The dining area was not clean, and we had to wipe our own tables. The food was good and fresh. We ordered the Butter burgers with fries, cheese sauce, and a side of Frisco Sauce. Everything was good, but the Frisco sauce wasn’t great. It’s like a sweeter blended version of Big Mac sauce.

They have a great new business model at this location. You can still dine inside the dining room, but you will place your order from a computer kiosk. It was super easy and all of the food came out as ordered. This store was very clean and all of the employees were very professional and courteous.
