The staff were just so incredibly friendly & accommodating- you’d think we were at a 5star restaurant! The food was amazing & lightning fast. We’re out-of-towners & just stopped off after Disney on Ice before our roadtrip home, but now i can’t say enough good things about this steak & shake!

Hungry? Check. Thirsty? Check. Need to use the bathroom? Check. This place has it all and more. We came in here like wolves to a pack of sheep – hungry and ready to eat. This place was CLEAN. Cleaner than anywhere else in Fort Wayne – hospitals included. The bathroom – let’s just say if there was nowhere to sit, I’d be eating in there. Who is at the center of this scheme? Who’s the pillar of hospitality, the “femme de ménage”? Greta.
Greta is a greeter and waitress who puts this place on the national radar. Her service and attention to detail far exceed that of my own parents. The food was delivered hot and tasty – like I had won a Mr Beast gameshow and Gordon Ramsey himself put his sweat and tears into my food. I could go on forever but that would prevent me from eating more food here. In short, this place is steak’n and shake’n harder than a suburban dad grilling in a snow storm.

Absolutely awful. The first kiosk payment pad didn’t work, no warning on the kiosk. I had to start all over on another keypad. I finished my order at 1:08 and at 1:38 I asked for a refund and was refused. The table behind me said she had been waiting 35 minutes.
On top of the slow slow service, the restaurant was disgusting, ketchup all over the floor and table. The kid chairs were equally as gross. I can’t believe my refund was refused.
I haven’t been back to any Steak ‘n Shake for a few years. Now I remember why.

Aria is the best. She took great care of us during our trips here at meijer road location. She is so pleasant and so is her staff members. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. The food is great, the service is wonderful and the food is always fresh and made to order.

Extremely slow service all four times I went. Had to ask for food to be remade because it was ice cold after being left at the counter 2 times. I waited at the pick up line for 25 minutes for someone to arrive so I could point out that my food was literally collecting flies. Got food poisoning the 4th time. I’m not sure what type of orders they prioritize, if it’s online/dashing, drive-thru, or inside the diner because I’ve ordered it all ways.

Stopped here during a road trip to grab food and ordered a large sweet tea with my meal. Unfortunately, the tea tasted bitter, like it had been sitting too long or was burnt. I mentioned it at the window, but the staff member just stared at me, and when I explained that it tasted bad, she replied in a rude tone. She then walked away and rolled her eyes.
A manager eventually came over and emphasized that the tea is made by a machine, but I wasn’t blaming them. I simply didn’t want a drink I couldn’t enjoy taking up space in my car. In the end, I tossed the tea out. My fries were cold, and the burger was mediocre, maybe a 6.2/10.
Overall, I won’t be returning to Steak ’N Shake. The staff could benefit from some customer service and conflict-resolution training. Thanks.

Usually I have a great time here but today the service was very short and unwelcoming, then it was the wait for food and seeing at a minimum 4 employees all gathered near the window not appearing to be working, I’d have placed this under the review that’s on the receipts but I wasn’t even handed my receipt with my order. On top of all this one of my drinks wasn’t the correct beverage I requested, there was no explanation as to if they were out or if it was just negligence on the staff.

Been going to steak n shake consistently for years. I don’t like to leave bad reviews but when you’re paying for items regardless of price then met with condescending tones from employees…. Service has gone bad, not getting items that have been paid for(normally i let slide but 3 times in the same week is crazy), charging for items and getting literally a quarter of a serving then the employee to say “do you want the manager” they bring over the apparent manager (Blonde young girl) before even asking what the issue is or to see the item they immediately say in a snotty tone “that is a full serving.” My order is the same every time, I think i would know what the full serving is so sorry but I’m not stupid never have been, never will be so for an employee to talk to me like i am is an extremely disrespectful mannerism that should be corrected, maybe a demotion or class on etiquette. Whoever she may be should not be representing the company in this manner. Instead of arguing i just left because I already had a headache and just wanted my meal how it always comes but clearly that doesn’t happen at this location.
