Great smash burgers. This is the 1st place that I can remember making smash burgers. I think it was Y2K when i was in Indiana and came to a Steak and Shake. They were great then and still good. The food is always made fresh to order. The atmospher is like that of an old school milk shake shop. Everything is fairly clean and well maintained. No ripped seats or just uncleanliness. Overall freat place and terrific burgers.

Definitely what you expect for a good little burger shop… some new notes are the front of the house is completely kiosk yo put in your order and something completely new for me was that you get a QR code that you need to scan to unlock soda machine to get your drink. We were able to scan it a second time to refill but didn’t experiment beyond that.

Food was delicious! Burger and fries were filling and tasty! The Nutella Shake was incredible and I’d love to have one again! I wasn’t a fan of how you order with the kiosk because when we were waiting on the shakes we weren’t able to ask the employees what was going on. That’s just a general complaint about the new way of operations in restaurants this day in age. The person gave us the shakes and was nice and apologized for the wait, which was fine. While I don’t like that system the overall experience didn’t disappoint!

The food was decent, but seemed lacking for Steak and Shake. The service is non-existent because everything is now done through a kiosk which is very disappointing. Additionally the, manager had the personality of a tablespoon. This was my first time back to a Steak and Shake in years actually and unfortunately, likely my last. These places used to feel like a diner and I really enjoyed them, now they’re just like all the other big chains, if not worse, at least at McDonald’s you can still speak with a person about your order.

The kiosk ordering sucks. The hamburger was greasy. The food was so greasy and terrible that I didn’t eat most of it. I tried to get the attention of the staff to get lettuce and tomato but they ignored me until I had to literally shout for them. Horrible experience. I won’t be back.

First time coming and never again!!! I got the Frisco, and I sure would of liked some burger with my sauce sandwich. It was drenched with sauce, I had to put the meat on my own bread once I got home. If working with food is so complicated then just don’t do it. Work in a gas station.
My honest experience of Steak and Shake is less than ideal in every way. First I couldn’t figure out the soda machine. Come to find out I had to scan my receipt that I already tossed, just to get the soda machine to work. Then my sandwich was inedible due to the bread being saturated with sauce. Then I noticed my fries were so tiny and flimsy, I couldn’t even grasp them to dip them in ketchup!? It’s amazing people even eat here!

When my friends and I came in one night, one of the employees said fairly loud “I was just going to kill myself anyway” and made us feel really unwelcome aside from that. We didn’t order anything crazy either, just fries and some milkshakes. Saying you’re going to “kill yourself” in front of costumers is very unprofessional, no matter the circumstances.

This steak and shake has an automated kiosk. This allowed me to take extra time to go over the menu. I ordered the triple meat triple cheese steak burger with cheese fries and a large oreo pumpkin spice milk shake. I paid by credit card, picked my seat and in no time my burger and fries came out hot and ready. My shake came out while I was still acquiring seasoning salt, pepper, flatware and napkins. Everyone was nice and the food had great flavor!
