Service was friendly and quick. We just came from Snow Trails and needed some food for the long trip home. Our food tasted good but was prepared in haste, see photos. The exterior off the building looked worn down and some LARGE pot holes dotted the parking lot (it’s winter in Ohio, I can’t judge to much for that) The front door was also stuck in an open position, with temps as they are I can’t imagine why this would be allowed to persist. Nothing in this review is a deal breaker. This is a nice exit to stop on the I71 corridor.

Where shall I start?! My girl wanted to go to McDonald’s and I convinced them to give Steak and Shake a try. To make this short I will hit just some of the things. I work in the food industry. This store was GROSS! Food and trash all over the floor. Ice cream on the floor. The top of a bun was there during my entire visit. Two employees walked past it several times and didn’t pick it up. When they made my sandwich the employee mistakenly put ketchup on it. She just wiped it off with a knife and kept going. She gave me that same bun. All the tables were closed off to eat and your only option was to sit at a booth, all in which were dirty tables. My girls hardly touched their food. They wanted to just go because it was so yucky here. I agreed and we left. I will never be back. Do better Steak and Shake because I just spent $35.00 for one adult meal and 2 kids meals that went in the trash.

Steak ‘n Shake is stepping up their game with the beef tallow fries! That effort they put forward, made me want to try out this location again. We experienced polite service in the drive-thru. While it took longer than most fast food, it wasn’t bad at all. I appreciate the sandwich-sized pickles on my burger.

Me and my child have been traveling all day in the car so we thought it would be nice to get out stretch our legs and grab a bite to eat. It was only 830 p.m. so the store should have been open according to the door in the Mansfield location. The second me and my child walked it we were told by a very tall man that we were not allowed to have dine in, they were only doing orders to go. I asked to be sure arnt you open until 10 and this rude young man told me yes but we don’t want to do anymore dishes and would like to get out early. This upset me a little, I felt like our presence was an issue. I ordered my food to go like they told me to do and then watched the cook not even make my food fresh, he pulled my meat for our order out of a small metal pan sitting on the grill next to him. My meat patties were so dry a gross I threw my food and my daughter’s away. For the price we pay I would at least hope for our food to be fresh. This whole experience just made me feel like me and my daughter were some burden. We went to McDonald’s and paid half the price and treated like customers should be treated. This Mansfield restaurant seems to have a lot of issues. I won’t ever be going to another steak and shake after being treated like this. That’s for sure.

A little bit of a wait for take out. Totally worth the wait! My double steak burger was hot fresh and the toppings were perfect. I tried the beef tallow fries and they did not disappoint. They were hot and fresh off the fryer. Very tasty. My meal was under $10. Can’t beat it. I waited probably 15 to 20 minutes but they were cooking everyone’s order fresh behind the counter. I will definitely be back!

I was really disappointed in this location. After ordering; we tried to find a clean table, but had to settle for the least disgusting. The floors were of course in worse shape. Every trash can was overflowing. The mens bathroom was out of order. An employee didn’t have his apron tied and the strings were dragging on the ground, gross. If I had noticed all this before paying, I’d have left. Will definitely NOT be returning.

I was ordering the meal and milkshake from June 16th and that night the milkshake machine was out. But I went there the other day and the manager helped me to placed the milkshake order again and I am fully appreciate her!! The service is excellent and the people are so nice and friendly here. While I was there I saw the manager also helped the other customer, listened careful of his request of the milkshake. The food I got from the other night was quite tasty!! Love the location and the food, also love the service here! Combined my experience, I would highly recommend it to everyone!

Was in tonight for the first time in about 3 weeks with my child after a long day helping dig out my elderly parents car from their drive full of snow still. We walk in and store is filthy! Absolutely grossest thing I ever saw! I was at this point already out of the car and too tired to go through it again unless it was to go home for the night. So we order. One girl walking around talking to employees like dogs and covered in giant hickeys on her neck. Glasses with a heart face tattoo. (Yeah great real family orienting). The manager (I assume) only person in street clothes) looked just as unkept dirty and ran through as the store did. She wasn’t cleaning anything either so I can only assume that’s why her employees obviously don’t clean. Food was horrible. Buns were dry and cold by time we got our food. Which took FOREVER for our to go order. We were told by the manager they were doing take out orders only at this time so we sat at a dirty table waiting for longer than it took to eat what we could stomach of our nasty food. The last time I was here 3 ish weeks ago I over heard a very very young very petite blonde girl (through the drive thru window, which is very much NOT sound proof in case they didn’t know) tell another employee running the window (who appeared just as young as her) that her manager gave her a “weed pill” to bribe her into doing dishes when she returned from her break. How professional…. I think I’ve seen and heard more than enough and I will NEVER be back to this establishment.

Delicious food and the staff were very pleasant. They had no problem, accommodating my order of swapping the mayonnaise in place of the ketchup, which is a trade secret that I’m happy to share with you. I accept bitcoin and wampum for this particular bit of information, but it’s free for you – this time. P.S. the blonde working on Wednesday night was cute!
