I haven’t had Steak ‘n Shake in years. The reason being was it was not that great last time I had it. But I’ve been wanting to try to tallow fries and I new CEO has turned it around. Well, it didn’t disappoint this time. The burger was excellent, almost like a smash burger. It has great flavor and a nice crispy patty. It was thin, so next time I’ll probably get a double, which says a lot because I don’t like too much meat to overpower the burger. The tallow fries were great. It had a flavor I’m still trying to place, but it was great! And the price was very reasonable. The only thing I didn’t like is you have to order from a kiosk and basically serve yourself with drinks and seating and condiments. They do bring your food to you. But you bus your own table. Just be aware when the kiosk automatically asks you to tip 20% when you pay. Overall, I’m sold on the improvements and will be back.

Haven’t been to Steak n’ Shake in years. Pleasantly surprised by the changes made. Obviously not ideal but they made it work for the job market. Love the self serve concept. Food came out, hot fresh and delicious. No servers anymore and kiosk ordering, but they still bring out your food and ask if you need any sauces. The fries are absolutely amazing. Like the Terminator says ” I’ll be Back!”

This is hands down the best Steak and Shake I’ve stepped foot in in over ten years. The Bacon Double was delicious and the Cheese fries paired perfectly with a Nutella Shake. The dining area was immaculate and Ordering from the kiosk is simple, time saving with an option to pay in BitCoin which I thought was pretty unique and the food was freshly made and fast as lightning.

Steak ’n Shake delivers a solid fast-food experience with tasty, crispy-edged burgers and standout milkshakes that live up to the name. The $4 menu offers great value, and the fries—especially now with tallow—are a delicious throwback. Service was fast when I went around 2:30pm and the quality and price make it worth a stop!

Shout out to manager on duty on 2/21/26. I had a problem using an older S&S gift card and she handled it very professionally and cordially. I recommend this restaurant because of the quality of the sandwich and the way she handled my issue. I will eat here again.

I got to give credit where it’s due, out of the majority of steak and shakes I’ve been to, this was by far the best.
Friendliness and service of staff was top-notch for a place like this, the food was cooked fresh (meaning they made it there, and didn’t make it hours earlier).
The lobby was immaculately clean, no sticky floors that are usually attributed to steak ‘n shake, counters were clean, and tables were clean.
The only con was the air conditioning, typical of all steak ‘n shakes, they had the thermostat set in the high 50s or so. At least that’s what it felt like.

This Steak & Shake is firing on all cylinders! The staff was very friendly and they had great attitudes! The whole restaurant was very clean and you can tell the managers are doing a great job at this location! Food was yummy as usual!
