The burger is good. The problem is getting the order right. Of the 4 times that I have been there, the order was correct once either Onions are added when the burger was ordered with Lettuce tomato and pickles. Got the burger with onions. One time, nothing was put on. Good food. You definitely need to check your order before you leave.

Most depressing food experience ever. No atmosphere. No humans. Just a big empty box with a touch screen full of empty seats and tables. Back in the day Steak n Shake was like going to Arnold’s on Happy Days. Today…prison burger joint. I will never go again. But back in the kitchen where you couldn’t see?? I am not sure how people eat here. The kitchen needed a serious scrub down. I saw the staff leave a burger sitting on a spatula which was then sitting on the grill. I also saw a burger and a shake already made but left sitting on the side for at least 5 mins before wrapping the burger up to give it to someone. There were flies in the kitchen too. But to make things worse no one from the staff was even around to help anyone or to take orders. Maybe they were on break. I did not order anything after seeing all this

Tables were kind of dirty, but granted, it was very slow in there. We were the only customers. My burger was rock hard in the middle (overdone, not under) but the fries and shakes were amazing! Workers were nice as well.

Very disappointed was out of ice in the soda machine asked for some ice and acted like it was a inconvenient to get the ice for the customers. Got a bowl of chili witch use to love but the chili we got was 95% beans ( wheres the beef )and had a very strange taste. Filthy place. Tables dirty even though dining room was empty. Floors super dirty and sticky. The food was pretty good though. Service is not there. You have to order on a kiosk and clean off your own table. So why are they asking for a tip??
