The food is always yummy but i wish they would get rid of the kiosk indoors. We miss having our food cone too us and the pretty shake numbers for the table. Steak and shake used to be more of an experience pre covid. We had to scan a receipt in order to fill our own drinks, it was very confusing and there are no signs. The employees were awesome and the food came out quick and delicious. I just wish corporate would bring back the magic of eating at steak and shake. I think next time I’ll go through the drive through and then just go inside with our food to eat. Would save me a lot of frustration and time. Awesome employees though!

Unbelievable!!!!!!! Worst 75.00 I have ever spent. All the food cold. Was handed our to-go milkshakes 16 minutes before the food was ready. Missing food from our order. We ordered chicken finger meals and I kid you not the 3 chicken fingers were over cooked and the size of a toddlers pinky finger. What a disappointment.

Not my steak n shake… There is NO service . The little guy at the drink counter was great. So much for not being a work a raunt… They ONLY have kiosks to order, they call or name or number, and you go up and get your food. Not going back, idc if they have the best milk shakes..

We haven’t been here for a couple of years so we wanted to try it again. it was definitely better than expected. You order your own food from a kiosk and they have self service drinks which I think is better, you can get a refill when you want.

I hadn’t been here in roughly 3 or 4 years. Now they no longer have waitresses, they have kiosks. You order, sit down and wait for your name to be called, then go and get your food. If you ordered a fountain drink, don’t forget your receipt because you need to scan it at the soda fountain in order to activate the fountain. None of this is explained by anyone. It’s all self service yet the kiosk asks to include a tip. I added a tip because its not the employee’s fault and they are probably severely underpaid as is, but I am sad to say I see no reason to ever go back to Steak n’ Shake as the place I knew is long gone.

Stopped by Steak ’n Shake for the first time in a while, and things have changed since I last dined in! I miss the waiters and waitresses in their classic uniforms, but ordering through the kiosk was pretty straightforward. The biggest surprise was needing to scan a barcode to get the soda fountain to work—took me a minute to figure that out, LOL! I ordered the triple burger with fries, and my granddaughter got her favorite: a cheeseburger. She had a blast, and the burgers are still just as great as I remember!

The drink system is ridiculous. No sign, no instructions, confusing and apparently timed. Annoyed employee behind the counter almost yelling at us because we did not understand their confusing system. If we have to place our own order at a kiosk, which is fine, at least have instructions posted.

Chsburg onion rings choc milkshake. I watched my Burger get cold while server made the onion rings. Burger WAS NOT on a potato bun just a mushy one like 5guys. Onion rings were good batter fried milkshake no whip crm or cherry was huge and excellent with a double size straw (why don’t they all do that) The stupid kiosk was down and took 5 min for mgr to restart. 3 stars reflects my overall experience. It coul easily have been 5 with just a little attention to detail by mgnmt and staff.
