First time visiting since they remodeled and I was very impressed. The restaurant is clean, bright, and feels more open. The touchscreen self-order kiosks are nice and easy to use. The food was awesome. I ordered the butter double steak burger with fries and it was GOOD. Their new way of cooking the fries in beef tallow is perfect. They were very crispy and flavorful. I finished it off with an eggnog shake that wasnt too sweet and had lots of eggnog flavor. We will definitely be going back soon.

The quality of steak n shake has gone up. We order online every time and never have a problem. The double steak burgers were cooked fresh and amazing. The NEW tallow fries are the best franchise French fry out right now. So much better than before. Highly recommended

Honestly, if this is what Steak ‘n Shake is going to be from now on I guess I’m never eating at any of their restaurants again. Literally zero servers, all orders are taken on an electronic kiosk (that asks for a tip for typing in your own order) as you walk in, soda machines don’t work so even though I paid for a soda the “machine” decided I couldn’t have any and while the food came out fast, it didn’t carry a lot of flavor and mostly just salt. This isn’t the Steak ‘n Shake I remember going to after work with family or friends, getting to enjoy the atmosphere and actually receive service. I guess corporate greed strikes again with wanting to “save money” by not hiring staff.

Princess, the active manager during the evening is amazing!! Zach, the server was also a great help and in good spirit.
I messed up my order and purchased the wrong item. I spent the remaining $10 of my paycheck on this meal; she listened with kindess and empathy and offered to replace the item for me free of charge after I explained my circumstance.
I just want to say Thank You so much Steak n Shake Ormond from the bottom of my heart for fixing MY mistake so I dont have to go hungry!!
I will definitely be stopping by this location more when I stumble into more money.

I don’t have a steak n shake anywhere close to me. I just wanted to stop in for a strawberry shake. Took no time and the staff was friendly. Even got a pup cup for my Coonhound riding shotgun with me! If i would have been hungry the “Frisco Melt” is my all time favorite sandwich anywhere. With lettuce and tomato. It originally came that way but now by request and at no extra charge.

Had to scan your receipt just to get your drinks. It wasn’t very clean either. Ladies Bathroom was disgusting. Food was so so. As you can tell I’m old school. I hate this No human interaction these days.

Always a must stop when traveling thru Daytona beach. I’m from the Midwest where Steak N Shake was established and currently live in a State where we have none. It’s nice to taste the burgers I grew up on.
