Not sure why we received our shakes in to go containers when we clearly marked dine in. Guessing someone didn’t want to wash the dishes
Creamsicle shake had black fleck in the bottom. I’ll tell myself it was Oreo from another shake and not just dirt so I don’t puke.
Most tables were dirty and not wiped clean. Dividers were dirty with gross finger and hand prints on them.
Only 1 Order kiosk was working.
Floors greasy and bathrooms dirty. Just gross like no one cares about how it’s being run.
With so many other steak n shakes around that are actually clean and well managed, we definitely won’t be back to this location.

Food was good for steak and shake. The employees were responsive. I’m not a big fan of the kiosk ordering and the scan to drink machine. The large cups were out. We brought it to the staffs attention. They refilled the large styrofoam cups. The cups shot out of the holder when someone pulled the first cup out. Luckily it didn’t hit anybody or cause an issue. I guess the worker forgot to lock the retention cap?
Kiosks are impersonal and do not facilitate special orders, which is one reason I liked steak ‘n shake before all this modernization.

I love Steak & Shake. When we come to the area on vacation, we try to make it here for at least one meal while here. I love the flavor. It’s so different from the typical fast food restaurants, and that is a HUGE reason for us coming. Their shakes are SECOND TO NONE, thick and creamy! I love the vintage style inside, too. Service is quick, too, as you’re not waiting around to be served, their fast.
The only 2 things I didn’t like this last time we were there 8.2.24, was they no longer have people at the entrance to take orders, everything is done via touch screen and I don’t like that. I can’t imagine how hard that could be for elderly customers. I also didn’t like that you had to scan a receipt to obtain your drinks. That was odd. Idk.
This wasn’t like this the last time we came, and although I didn’t like these changes, it wouldn’t deter me from coming again. Their food is great here, and worth the visit.

If you don’t eat pork, think twice before visiting Steak ’n Shake. I personally watched staff cook beef patties on the flat top, then cook bacon in the same spot. After removing the bacon, they continued cooking more beef in that exact area without cleaning or sanitizing the surface.
As someone who has worked in restaurants and served as a general manager, I understand proper food safety and cross-contamination protocols. Not everyone consumes pork for religious, health, or personal reasons, and this level of disregard for customer trust is unacceptable.
If this is standard procedure, it needs immediate correction.

The burgers are made fresh and the fries are the perfect size. The shakes are amazing. Everything taste so good and it doesn’t make you feel bloated! The place could get a better cleaning as the floors feel sticky. The staff are okay and good thing you order using a computer. Plenty of parking. The bathroom is relatively clean. You can get water for free. Soft drinks are operated using scanned barcode.

We dined in at Steak ’n Shake and had a really positive experience. The manager, Omar, was professional, friendly, and welcoming. Even when he called out our food, he had a warm tone that made the visit feel pleasant.
He brought my daughter a hat, games, and crayons, which helped keep her entertained and made the meal easier for us. It was thoughtful and appreciated.
The food was good — the burger was a little salty, but still tasty. We haven’t been here in a while, so it was nice to return to a clean, comfortable atmosphere with great service.

Went through the drive thru on my lunch break and whoever was working the drive-thru on Saturday 01/10/26 at 3:30pm acted like she didn’t even want to be working. I asked her to repeat the deal she mentioned during the intro, something about a 6, she ignored me, as I sat there for a minute, still nothing. So I just ordered something I knew. Pulled up at the window, no hi, welcome, nothing but the total as I sat there for a few more minutes. Finally the window open and all I got was the total. So I paid and waited for a receipt for a few more minutes. Finally, she opened the window again as I was waiting, only to get, “whatchu want?” I said the receipt. So she closed the window, made me wait again for a couple minutes to hand over the receipt. No bye, or nothing so I just drove off. Tasted the food as I was still in the parking lot and it’s like I was eating old & stale food. I didn’t even finish it instead I threw it away once I got back to work. Money loss and still hungry. Your staff needs customer service coaching and better quality food. I’ll go to Checkers moving forward.
