Stopped during travel on the way home. My husband went in to get take out. It probably took 45 minutes to get food. I understand places get short staffed but apparently no apology, no communication, and when asked for a reduction in cost, they said they couldn’t offer a refund as the general manager wasn’t there. When we want a quick bite traveling home for the holidays, we expect a lot better. Af least my food tasted good, though not the fries weren’t that hot. Disappointing. Won’t come back here.

Absolutely turned around by new ownership / management! My father-in-law and husband decided we would go to Steak ‘n Shake. I was hesitant because of previous experiences. However, with this new ownership in place, I can attest to an amazing experience. Great service, tasty burgers and fries. My father-in-law enjoyed a delicious Strawberry milkshake. Prices are fantastic and the ordering system and self serve fountain drinks are wonderful. If you have not visited in a while, go and give it a try. Photos take during two different visits just before it got busy. The drive through was quite busy. If there is any issue, the floor does seem very slippery once you get inside. Be careful!

Used to go to Steak & Shake’s very frequently as a child but moved for college and couldn’t find one nearby ;-;
Still delicious food & milkshakes, the fry seasoning is still an amazing addition. They are now fully modern with tablet ordering, picking up at counters & less interaction with servers (no complaints tho).

For a place that calls itself fast food, its service is anything but fast. Kiosks are available to order from inside to make things more efficient, but you will end up waiting over 30 minutes to get just parts of your order. Seems to be a common experience, as other patrons inside were waiting for long times and still receiving the wrong items or missing items from their order. Food itself was mediocre at best. The burger and tenders both tasted stale; the tenders having hard dry and spongy texture, while the burger was lukewarm on hard bread. The best thing that was served to me were the fries. Inside of the dining room was dirty, with trash and crumbs remaining on dining tables and debris still on the floor. You probably would have a better dining experience at the Circle K across the street. This location has many ways to go to improve.

Ordered food through Uber Eats and it was missing an item. Tried reaching the driver to no avail. Attempted several times letting it ring for about 5 minutes each time without any success from the store picking up the phone. I was just trying to see if the driver snatched it or if it was a mistake on the restaurant part.

I use to love Steak ‘n Shake. My husband and I were hungry tried to find something affordable and good. We decided to go to Steak ‘n Shake and grab some food.
We walk in and it’s a kiosk. So that was different then for 2 combos and 4 sides of the awesome cheese sauce and 2 milkshakes was $40.00 on top of a tip. For what we get our own stuff now.
Well after that we sit down to eat and they didn’t even fill up the cheese cups that were $1.19 each is outrageous. Pictures to show the burger was so salty and so was the cheese. Well no longer my favorite. Never again.
