Steak ‘n Shake, a classic American brand, was founded in 1934 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt who pioneered the concept of premium burgers and milkshakes. For over 85 years, the company’s name has been symbolic of its heritage. The word steak stood for steakburger. The term shake stood for hand-dipped milkshakes. Gus was determined to serve his customers the finest burgers and shakes in the business. Today, Steak ‘n Shake remains the better burger leader, serving premium 100% beef steakburgers, hand-dipped milkshakes, thin crispy fries, and more. Steakburgers are made without preservatives or artificial ingredients, topped with fresh produce, and always hand-crafted to order.

OMG! Where do I start..lol I ordered through Postmates and I got a disaster! It was properly in tack but WHO ever that cook is, please take the salt from him! That burger was extremely salty and I just couldn’t! I mean that was my first and last time eater there. I’m just blown!

Driest burger I’ve ever paid for. The only condiment is garlic sauce and that’s not even on there. This is the second time they’ve been a disappointment with the sauce.

The restaurant was a self serve only and you could not find anyone to ask questions. I ordered a $4.44 cheese double steak burger. When I ordered, the screen said to get cheese on it, I had to pay an extra 0.60. So how is it a cheese double steak burger? The food was good.

Ridiculous and infuriating. Not only has taste gone way down but what in the world is this? We took 3 bites before finding the patty.

We stopped in for my granddaughter’s birthday lunch before going to the mall. Our meals were great and our shakes were so good. The restaurant could use some attention to cleanliness but wasn’t so bad that we wouldn’t come back.

For what Steak and Shake is…. It’s way more efficient with kiosk ordering now. I still love my Frisco melt but I wish they would have the orange freeze milkshake still. There’s a guy that works there who is so full of energy when he calls out your name for your order. Made me smile!

I miss the days of waitresses and paper hats. Now you enter the store and no one greets you. You stand in line to order at a kiosk. No one speaks to you…no one even acknowledges your presence. Most tables are empty. You place your order at a kiosk amd swipe a card. Stand in silence waiting for eternity for your food to be plopped at a pick up station. No one calls your name. Automation, depersonalization, and now a short 3 person staff.
