High steaks. This is a seasonal concept by Stable DC and is closing for the 2025 season on October 11th and will reopen in the spring of 2026. Our menu focuses on our prix fixe offering that includes bread and butter service, a salad, frites, and steak. We have a vegetarian option, too. À la carte appetizers, mains, sides, and desserts are available!

As good as it can be! We had the chicken liver pate, steak and eggs (scrambled), salmon Benedict, and the house burger with shoestring fries. Everything tasted great. Perfect temperature for the steaks and accompanying Paris butter for enhanced flavors. Will certainly return to try dessert on the next visit. Service was attentive. Street parking only.

I recommend a reservations but I was able to get a table as I was once person. The prix fixe was delicious, The salad was nice and tangy, the bread was crunchy and soft inside. The steak was a good size and very flavorful and the fries through salty were nice and hot and crispy. I enjoyed my experience.

Outstanding meal today! Hidden gem on H St. I got steak & eggs and my husband got the prix fixe steak and they were phenomenal. The espresso martinis were also on point. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. Also the music was awesome, great playlist. Will definitely return!

Delicious steak frites and such a smart concept. The prix fixed was a no brainer and soo good. Love that they have similar options for folks with dietary restrictions (moules frites). Visited before the rebranding and cant believe I waited so long to try this concept. Will be back.

Went to Steak Frites for dinner with a friend and had an overall nice experience. The atmosphere strikes a great balance, intimate, yet fun and inviting. It was also pretty cool to see the food being prepared right there in front of us.
We ordered a bottle of wine to share and went with the prix fixe menu. Everything was plated beautifully. The meal started with bread and a salad. I’m not usually a salad person, but it was fresh and surprisingly good.
For the main course, we both ordered our steaks medium rare. My friend’s came out perfectly, but mine leaned overcooked, likely because of the at-the-table open flame. The fries, however, were excellent, crispy and seasoned just right. I just wish I enjoyed my steak more because that’s really the centerpiece of the meal. Personally, I don’t think the open flame gimmick adds much, and I’d rather have my steak cooked precisely.
On the plus side, the cocktails were delicious, and I liked that there’s a full bar in the back room if you want to hang out longer. Service was fantastic, everyone was welcoming, attentive, and kind.
All in all, a solid spot with great service and drinks, but the steak itself (ironically) didn’t quite hit the mark for me.

Thank you to Steak Frites for such an awesome dining experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful, walking us through the options we had. I loved everything on the fixed menu, and the steak blew me away, both in taste and presentation. Also, the bread we were given to start everything off was perfectly cooked. The dessert coup romanov was refreshing and perfect for a warm May evening. I’m excited for the next time I go back, and I’m sure I’m going to get the exact same thing.
