Big fan of steak escape and love to stop when I’m passing by. The staff was friendly but missed the mark totally on execution. Ordered an ultimate escape and I came with no peppers or mushrooms and the lettuce tomato and mayo I asked for and confirmed with the employee were completely left off too. Took 25-30 mins to get my food and heard him tell another customer they were out of peppers after they said they were missing as well as their mushrooms. 3/8 ingredients made it onto the sandwhich which is just not good enough for a $20 sammy. Recently visited this location and was a little disappointed by the experience.
The staff were extremely friendly and patient, but the wait time was around 30 minutes for takeout. Although this isn’t obscene, it wasn’t quite what I expected. Two or three patrons left in frustration at their wait as well, so it seemed to not matter what was ordered. I think if there was a possibility of one or two additional staff members on shift, the visit would have been much better.
Unfortunately, when coupled with the price and the actual quality of the food, the experience just wasn’t as palatable as I hoped.
Seeing as others have had positive experiences, I’m hoping this was just a bad night.

Ordered two “grandest” sandwiches, one chicken one steak. Both are supposed to have 3 cheeses, there was definitely not 3 cheeses and they were AS DRY AS THE DESERT. We also tried regular fries and the Buffalo chicken fries, ordered 2 large drinks. Fries were not fresh, idc what they advertise the fries are shameful to be called fresh. The fryer oil needs to be desperately changed. My drinks were 2” from the top with pretty much no ice. I had to ask for my soda, was given attitude then when I asked for more ice, was given more attitude. I called a few minutes after arriving home and let the manager know I was returning my food and wanted a refund, I was told to bring the order back in, and a refund would be given. It was, but was not instant like I was told, it took 24 hours to get my refund. The manager had her hair in a long ponytails but it was around her shoulders, easily could get hair in Food. Also had very long black stiletto nails which in my opinion none of this is sanitary when working around food. I heard mixed reviews about this place and now I see should have just made a sandwich at home. Obviously, we will not order this again, and I don’t know how they stay in business. To boot, $33 for two people to get this order I just mentioned.

My boyfriend just got us food from here, we are from out of town. I myself didn’t pick up the order but my boyfriend was absolutely blown away by the service. He was amazed by how sweet, paitent, and professional the girl he was speaking with was. He said the name on the receipt is Skylar P. We haven’t tried the food yet but I would still give this place five stars regardless, just because of how well they treat their customers. Maryland doesn’t have hospitality like this so we are very pleased!! The cashier had even mentioned how she cares about making a lasting impression on people so they’ll want to come back. What a great employee. Skylar if you are reading this thank you so much for giving my boyfriend an amazing experience, you’ll go far in life with the attitude you have!

Kinda small for the dinning in experience but the service was excellent, helpful, professional, and laid back all at the same time. The was prepared just right and was as mouthwatering in person as it was on the menu. The price, affordable for the level of quality! So all in all if your just passing thru or a frequent regular of Fairmont, WV it’s definitely worth stopping by and checking it out! 4.9 stars! Keep it up “Steak Escape”!

Placed an order for a sandwich and loaded fries. They couldn’t make the fries so I tried to order another sandwich because it was for my partner. There was a mix up in the order somewhere but when I talked to the manager on the phone he refused to let me complete the order for te 2nd sandwich. I am not sure who owns the restaurant but I guess they are OK with allowing the staff to refuse money and kill future sales. I will never do business with them again

I brought my family there to get lunch through drive thru $90-100 usually. We were only one in drive thro and waited 5 minutes before I beeped horn. The person finally acknowledged by saying “I’m busy I will be right with you”. We waited 12 minutes before we finally left without service.
