Whether making our signature breads from scratch, slicing all our meats, cheeses, and veggies in house, or making each sandwich to order, we care about the details and you can tell the difference! Dine with us, sit on our patio, take it with you to go, or call ahead and pick it up. We also do catering for all variety of business meetings, office luncheons, and team meals with our popular brown bag style packaged meals!

Literally never had a bad experience here. Food is fantastic – the bread is probably my favorite, underrated part of eating here. Makes every sandwich SO good. Service is always speedy as hell, you’ll be eating less than 5 minutes after ordering. And the staff are always so friendly. Every time someone from out of town visits, I tell them to eat here. Best sandwiches in the Palouse.

A friend of mine and I went into Stax on our lunch break today. We both ordered and then a huge group of guys behind us ordered while we found a table to sit at. My friend and I sat there waiting for 30 minutes for a simple grilled cheese, soup, and another toasted sandwich. Within those 30 minutes of waiting, I saw many people who ordered after us already sat eating and enjoying their sandwiches. My friend went to go ask about our orders and they said it should be out shortly. Another 10 minuets go by and our food comes out as our lunch hour ends. I ask to get it packed to go and for a refund since the service wasn’t great and our lunch hour was over. A young blonde boy then comes out with our packed up food and says “Sorry about the wait for your food. I have it packed up but unfortunately I’m not authorized to give a refund. However, I can take down your names and next time you come in I can get you all free food.” We give him our names but he isn’t writing them down. So I asked “Aren’t you going to write those down?” his response was “No, you two look unique enough.” Yes, we were the only two people of color in the restaurant and everyone who was served before us was not. I was so upset at this response that we just grabbed our food and left. I later called to express my disappointment and get my refund from the owner/manager. Instead they put that same young blonde boy on the phone. I ask to speak to someone who can get me a refund and he says “Sorry I can get you that refund. That’s just the last resort option I wanted to avoid.” Anyways safe to say I won’t be returning to or recommending Stax.

Wonderful place, great atmosphere food, was good. I had the Philly steak sandwich it was pretty good, did feel a little plain with the seasoning. I love the fact that it comes in these old school style chips and sandwich baskets.

Came back to visit my daughter and stopped into our new favorite sandwich shop. Awesome home built sandwiches for my daughter and wife while I tried a salad this time. Everyone’s lunch was awesone!!! Looking forward to our next visit!

Just had the BBQ sandwich (pro tip: add pepperoncinis) and ate it in about 3 minutes! Always fast service and I got a little flower drawing on my bag! Plus they will bring it to you if you have a beer at Pour Company next door 🙂

It’s OK. Sandwiches are as advertised but nothing special. A little expensive, my HALF sandwich with potato chips was $10. Can’t really rate the service since it’s a walk up counter, get your own beverages, plastic basket place. Would I go back? For a social thing to meet friends, yes. Would I go back because I’m craving a great sandwich at an affordable price, probably not. Giving an extra star for atmosphere since there are a few tables outside.

Highly recommend! I called them around 11am to order 10 sandwiches for a hungry work crew, and not only did they have them ready for us by 12:30 when their phones had been swamped that morning with other orders coming in, but literally everyone was raving how good the sandwiches were. Will definitely be going there again myself, and ordering for our crew again in the future.

My goodness, is this place good. So much more than you would guess. I have no idea how they make “simple” sandwiches taste so amazing, but the sum is FAR greater than the parts. It’s a little like Magic. Textures are so on point and flavors are so well balanced. You need to try it to understand, but I promise you won’t be disappointed.
