Delicious and authentic, and well worth the wait. Food has been fresh and delicious every time. Their homemade sandwiches are made with love, and you can taste it – it’s like being in the kitchen making it yourself! It’s clear that Stax puts a lot of heart into their sandwiches. The atmosphere is great, and the staff is very attentive. Highly recommend!

Busy place. We visited on a Saturday at about 11:30. They already had a line. I got the Holiday it is a turkey sandwich with a cranberry cream cheese spread. It has sprouts, lettuce, and tomato, and i chose the sourdough bread. It was very delicious. The sandwich came with potato chips and a very yummy pickle spear. A couple of my friends had the Philly cheese steak. The bread is homemade and very soft. They also have flavored lemonade. The prices are very reasonable. I’d like to go back and try the French dip, Philly and lemonade.

This is a fantastic sandwich shop. I was blown away at how great it really was compared to most sandwich shops you can find anywhere. It’s right in the center of town. The chicken bacon ranch sandwich apparently was the way to go. There is a fair amount of outdoor seating. Sourdough bread. I was impressed. I would eat here again.

Really liked this shop. Had the turkey with cranberry cream cheese spread. It was great. Fresh bread. They added sprouts that gave it some texture and crunch. Service was really great too. The soups was not as great and wasn’t a fan of the potato chips as a side but loved the sandwich. The Lemonade was a solid choice too BTW. House made. Make a stop and try this place!

On a road trip we came through McCall for lunch. The place we thought we wanted to eat at was closing early and recommended Stax. We are SO grateful for the recommendation! We arrived as they were closing for the day and we were met with a smile and “how can we help you” customer service. Jason took the time to tell us all about Stax. He showed us the homemade bread and sourdough rolls. Told us about the top sellers and homemade sauces. We ordered the mushroom Swiss, Italian and I went with the lettuce wrap.
I have not had a lettuce wrap this good! If you eat lettuce for bread, I bet you have had some messes and head directly to the fork. Jason brought out our sandwiches and there was no fork…. I decided to go for it and picked up the wrap…… this was the best lettuce EVER! It didn’t sag, sog or rip!!! This was my first positive lettuce wrap experience!!! Jason hand picked the lettuce and a find job he did.
Even though they closed, Jason came out to see if we’d like to fill our cups and use the bathroom before we got on the road. Before we left we had become friends.
We highly recommend Stax! They care about the quality of food and human connection. That’s such a win!!
And the prices were great for the quality of food. $10 for an amazing wrap and chips.

I felt so welcome and catered to here! Once they found out I’ve never been here they were so patient and explained the menu and provided recommendations. All the bread is baked in store (meat sliced as well) and I can say IT SHOWS. I got the Italian – which was perfectly fantastic and a huge sandwich. I totally downed the first half before I even thought about a picture – better late than never. This place is a huge recommendations from me – all around EXACTLY what I wanted for lunch on my Mountain drive!!!

OMG, the food was TERRIFIC! BEST French Dip I have EVER had. The Strawberry Lemonade was really tasty, too! We were on a 12 day Road Trip & this was the BEST lunch we had! Outdoor seating & Pet Friendly!
