A great place for good food! I barely noticed the location from the road, but I’m glad I did! The pizza was hot and fresh, and tasted close to back home in New York! The buffalo wings were very tasty and had a nice flavorful spice to them. The garlic bread sticks and marinara were also very flavorful. The pizza was fantastic and even the medium was a very nice size, plenty of value for the price. I’ll definitely be back again for more!

Ate here with the family the other night and i can see why I’ve heard about this location from the more experienced locals. I got the Calamari to start, the Special Deluxe pizza for my meal, and the cannoli as the dessert.
For starters, the calamari was an 8/10, best overall calamari I’ve ordered from anywhere(and its my testing dish). Only thing that would make it better would be some seasoning or light flavor mixed into the frying batter because they definitely needed the sauce, which too could use a bit of flavor enhancing. Still, a fantastic size, perfect fry amount, and came out to a good portion.
The Deluxe pizza was cooked well, soft in the center with a crust that cracked when bent to hold, and had plenty of toppings. The family bought three different pizzas overall and all had positive things to say.
Now the dessert. I’ve only tried a couple Cannolis at this point but they are quickly becoming my favorite dessert to test at locations. This location has a wonderful ricotta combination that worked very well with the extra whipped topping they added on the side. My only complaint would be the expense on this one. Twice the price over a couple other locations I’ve sampled and all were right at the same size. They were worth it to try once as I mentioned their mixture was just right.

Overall good food and cute. Service could be improved but still good. The atmosphere was a little crowed for the space. Overall we would recommend this place. The cheese pizza is very good. The wings are different but good. Give them a try.

A busy place that serves pies by the scores. Menu selection is typical with solid choices of specialty, traditional and local flavor. The dining area is classic 80s era booths, sports on TV and lots of activity. Staff was great. Helpful and courteous even when very busy. Pizza was flavorful, good chew on the crust and loaded with toppings. Salad was fresh and portioned for 2. Not the greatest pizza I’ve ever had but well above national chain, factory pizza.

We ordered delivery. The Italian Calzone had been ordered before with specific toppings which had NEVER included any sort of meat because of food allergies. The calzone did not have mushrooms or basil, but did have ham and spinach. The restaurant then LIED and said that all those calzones came that way when identical calzones had been ordered before and had zero issues. They refused to remake the incorrect item and refused any sort of refund. Save yourself the aggravation and go to Pizza Luca. At least they know how to make their orders properly.

My first time at Staunton Flying Pizza was great! Clean and friendly…….great food……and the place was understandably busy since it is a Saturday night. I chose to try the greek salad with greek dressing, and 10 peice wings with hot sauce. Not sure if it was included, but they also brought out 2 delicious garlic rolls too. The wings were crispy, and the sauce had a nice tang to it. They had about 5 or 6 different sauces to choose from. The salad was great with plenty to enjoy.

Got a Philly cheesesteak lunch combo to go. Sandwich wasn’t bad, not great but definitely not bad for something quick on the go. The people working there were very friendly and quick with service.

Fun Fact and one that I didn’t know …
We ordered a Ceasars salad with grilled chicken from a local Staunton restaurant. We ordered it from their web-site, that same restaurant prepared and delivered it. We tipped them. We’ve ordered from this local restaurant dozens of times and it’s always been great.
Except tonight. I opened my salad and there were large, living black flies in my salad. I called the restaurant immediately and asked for a refund.
They said no. Apparently, all online orders are processed by a third party. The restaurant does not give refunds; the third party company does.
Neither the salad nor the flies belong to this third party, they all belong to this local restaurant who does not bear responsibility.
I guess it’s a good system if you can get it to work for you. It’s not working for me.

I have eaten food from this restaurant countless times and have been satisfied. I ordered an Italian sub because I had been craving it. It was disgusting. The first bite had no meat…in an italian sub! It was tasteless and carelessly assembled. Absolutely tasteless! I am done.
