First time visiting, and I came with a friend around 7 PM on a Tuesday. Parking in the area was a bit uncomfortable due to the large number of homeless individuals nearby, and there was a strong odor on the street while walking in, which immediately took away from the experience. Unfortunately, with the restaurant keeping many of the windows open, those smells carried inside as well, making it hard to fully relax and enjoy a meal.

The restaurant itself was also very cold, so we had to move around to find seating away from the open windows. That said, once we settled in, the food itself was actually good. I ordered the black bean burger, and my friend ordered a “naked” cheeseburger wrapped in lettuce. We both enjoyed our meals.

The fries are ordered separately, so both got a large order to share. The portion size was generous—almost extra-large—and the price was very reasonable. We ordered the garlic fries with truffle Parmesan cheese shredded topping, and they were definitely a highlight.

Overall, the food and value were solid, and I would recommend it to first-time guests who want to try it out. Personally, due to the atmosphere and overall comfort of the location, I don’t think I’ll be returning—but I’m glad I gave it a chance.

We enjoyed our meal at the picnic tables outside on December 24th. The service was good and they have some good craft beers.

On a staycation for the fall break with my kid. Heard this place was kid friendly which it was. We order a hamburger and cheeseburger which we’re tasty including the fries. I had the small garlicky fries which was an ideal amount. The kiddo ate 3/4 of his burger. That Coca Cola was strong though, most likely due to my hiatus with soda. My kid got his in a small which completed his indulgence…lol. Kudos to Yocelin for her hospitality. See you!

Awesome, cozy place with nice and ample outdoor seating. Has a generally friendly neighborhood vibe. The parking is a little scarce but the food is TOTALLY worth it!

The pictures are from my second visit – Cheeseburger with bacon – their bacon is love! – accompanied by garlic tater tots.

Amazing, flavorful burger, AMAZING bacon and the tots are perfect!

Definitely recommend if you’re in the area or hankering for a good burger and fries/tots!

There is a bar area “inside” as well but I didn’t order any drinks so cannot comment on the quality/taste.

There are also “water stations” with clean cups and ice cold water at your disposal with a hand washing sink which was really nice. They even provided doggy bowls should you be in need!k

The Station Tavern isn’t just another neighborhood bar, it’s a local gathering place for friends far and wide. Love the service, the people, food and drink. One of the best spots in San Diego. My favorite is the club sandwich and a margarita, or one of their daily specials! Kid and dog friendly!

If you’re looking for a laid back, friendly atmosphere to grab a beer, burger, and fries check out Station Tavern on Fern Street in South Park, San Diego, CA. They have a variety of burgers. I had the special which was an herbed patty with goat cheese on top. It was delicious. The burger was juicy and not overcooked. Two others in my party had cheeseburgers with pepper jack cheese. We also shared a large order of fries with cilantro lime sauce. The service was very friendly and king. They have indoor and patio seating. They had the Masters playing on a TV

Great place for great food and relaxing outdoor seating.

Burgers are pretty straight forwards simple but good. Fries are also simple but good, tater tots are amazing as well as garlic fries; I think the large portion is a better deal if you have 2 or more people.

Music is not too loud. The outdoor seating is surprisingly very relaxing and great during late summer early fall. great drink menu as well.

Over all a fun place to have a burger and a drink.

Delicious burgers! I ate my burger so fast, I forgot to take a picture of it. I ordered mine with a fried egg (it was nice and runny ). The burgers did lack seasoning and I ended up using the bbq sauce they gave with the fries on it.

We tried the tots, garlic fries and sweet potato fries and they were all good. If you’re trying the tots, it comes with seasoning that doesn’t stick to the tots, so make sure you dig and get the seasoning on it. The garlic fries came with grated Parmesan cheese, which was yummy!

Make sure you try their sauces also! They have a couple of selection and they were all good in their own ways.

Chill bar and grill. They have screens to watch the game, tables to hand out, half outdoor and indoor seating. Garlic fries were pretty good.

Came here for dinner with a friend and we were looking for some quick, yummy tavern/bar food while we waited for our friends at another place.

Since it was a Friday night it was about a 15 min wait which was fine as we walked around for a bit. We then were seated near the bar. They have outdoor seating as well.

Menu is pretty simple and they have what seems to be a full bar. Our waiter was very soft spoken so I unfortunately couldn’t hear her over the loudness of the bar with the talking and the game going.

We ordered burgers and an order of garlic parmesan fries to share.
Food didn’t take that long to come out and everything was hot!

The main downside of this place is that the burgers had almost no seasoning. I’m a plain cheeseburger gal and while it is boring and bland to some usually most burgers will still be delicious thanks to the seasonings added. This was a relatively dry burger and since there was no seasoning I couldn’t finish it.

My friend got the burger with everything and she said even with the veggies and everything it was still lacking.

The garlic fries were yummy, but when I think of parmesan fries I don’t imagine it with shaved parmesan. Maybe I am wrong here, but I would assume they use the grated version so it melts a bit more. This had the parmesan on top and it wasn’t warm in anyway so we just had to grab some fries and some shaved bits and eat it together.

The garlic was also not spread around it was just a giant clump in the middle which also made it not the greatest batch of fries we’ve had.

The vibes are bar vibes – close seating, loud ambiance, and the game going. Plenty of groups were there and atmosphere was rocking so that didn’t disappoint.

Overall I would sadly have to skip coming here again as I just felt let down by the taste and flavoring of our meal.
