Very cute BBQ place, small inside but it looks like there is outdoor seating for nicer weather. We had Sunday brunch specials and Maine beers!

I was hesitant to try a BBQ restaurant in the north, but I had a huge craving for some meat on our Maine seafood trip. I have good news it’s worth it.

I love bbq places that have multiple sauces. I’m a sauce guy so that was very appreciated. The House Bbq and the Chipotle Bourbon was my favorite out of the assortment. I usually love Carolina sauces but this one tasted mostly of mustard. They should play with a spicy bbq option for the spice lovers out there.

Fried Pickle Spears – Breaded Well, cooked perfectly, and the pickle was good. They came with some kinda aioli that sorta resembled ranch… I’d prefer a good ranch instead.

Meat Sampler Platter – All very very good, flavorful moist pulled pork, ribs juicy and succulent, sausage had excellent flavor, and brisket was tender and moist.

Smoked Wings – My favorite thing I ate here. I got the Honey Reaper sauce and it that was a great choice. Not overly spicy so people that can’t handle spice don’t worry. If I could’ve bought a bottle of this sauce I would’ve.

Haddock Fish Tacos – I tried a few bites, this was my wife’s choice. She said they’re very good and I liked them, but I wanted real meat.

Brisket Sliders – Good, but difficult to eat. The sliders weren’t cut into individual sandwiches so you couldn’t just pick up one sandwich. The meat was just laid across the 3 buns and not cut. I attempted to cut them into 3 different sandwiches but without a steak knife that was a challenge. Also the brisket on my sandwiches was noticeably dryer than the brisket on our sampler platter. Extra bbq sauce was needed. The pickled cucumbers were nice to cut through the heaviness of the meat, but too sweet for my liking.

As a southerner I’d 100% come back. Having homemade ranch dressing and consistency on the brisket would’ve awarded a 5 star.

Great BBQ and Beer on the mid coast of Maine.

First of all, who shapes their butter like a hog? They do. Cornbread was great.

Got some brisket and some sides. Not the best brisket in the world but still good.

Nice local beer on tap and in cans. Good decor. Staff very attentive. They also had their own sauces, including a Maine blueberry sauce!!

Would come here again!

After yesterday’s fiasco with barbecue, we were going to get a lobster roll and one of my favorite places along highway 1. But being an Easter sadly they were closed so we continued on our way until we came across this barbecue place. Great interior and we were greeted nicely at the door. Our server could not been any nicer and we started off with fried pickles, which were fantastic with the dipping sauce they gave us. My wife had to fried chicken sandwich and I had to pull pork platter. Those were quite yummy. This was an unexpected stop, but well worth it.

Pretty average BBQ. I got their smaller with a side of mac and cheese. The brisket was dry, the ribs Seasoning was overwhelming, while the pulled pork was very juicy and tender. The sausage was a sausage, not bad, nothing special. The bbq sauces were middle of the road. Mac and cheese was good a but the sauce was a bit thin compared to what I’ve come to expect. The place was empty when I showed up around lunch time, and wasn’t sure if they were even open. Once inside, service was quick, and atmosphere was good. I enjoyed the firefighter/first responder theme and the retauarant/Bathroom was clean. Pricing wasn’t bad for BBQ, might have just had a bad batch and i would consider trying again if I was in the area.

This was my first time eating here, and the service from the time I walked in, to the time I walked out, was incredible! I was instantly seated, and the person who seated me was also my server.
The kitchen was open, so it almost gave a Hibachi feeling.
Food and drinks were served promptly. When my server asked if I wanted a refill, she mentioned the specific drink I had ordered rather than being generic.
The food was very filling.
The desert was also very good.

Delicious! Classic BBQ plus unique specialties. I had Moxie soda chicken wings, corn ribs (grilled corn cob quarters flavored like street corn), slaw, and 3-bean salad. Great staff, covered outdoor tables.

This was great!! Loved the home made barbecue sauce!! This might be one of the best ones we’ve ever had! Do yourself a favor and take home a bottle!!! It was absolutely brilliant that they gave you a color code to identify all the different types of BBQ sauces!! A blueberry, chipotley, honey mustard base, and the gouse- our favorite!

Loved the chix sandwich, and fried pickles. Definitely recommend making this a stop!! It was a great break from all the seafood!

I had the cornbread and chili. The food was amazing and the service also. Definitely a must if in the neighborhood.

Just amazing what Scott has done with this place. The food is amazing. This place is a must to visit. Even if you come to Maine for lobster. As a Chef the attention to detail stood out the most the pig shaped butter is over the top. Thank you Scott and staff for an amazing experience
