State Street Coffee and Ice Cream opened the day before our Veteran’s Day 2025 visit, and we drove an hour there and back to try it out because of all the crazy buzz! It’s finally open!!! State Street Coffee is owned by the Harrison family, who are life-long residents of Baldwin County. After two years in the making, this business is a fantastic addition to the city of Elberta. ☕️ They have remodeled the old building into an experience. In an excellent location right across from the Elberta Kid’s Park/Gazebo, your crew will be begging you to take them for a drink or ice cream after working up a sweat on the playground. Once there, you’ll want to linger, with bright light streaming in big windows along side customers chatting over drinks. There’s a great vibe going on – you’ll feel it. Every employee we spoke to was helpful and cheerful. ☕️ They currently have 14 flavors of ice cream, three of which are sugar free, including unusual choices like Almond, English Toffee, and Pure Cane Sugar. They offer a plethora of blended drinks and specialty coffees with names locals will recognize like the State Street Coffee, Sandy Creek Latte, and the Miflin Mocha. Coffee not your thing? They offer Matcha and Chai Lattes plus hot chocolate. Having ordered three hot chocolates and a specialty coffee, we really enjoyed everything- the reasonable prices, the drinks, right down to the super cute seating areas. ☕️ State Street Coffee has created a wonderful establishment in the heart of Elberta to grab a coffee and/or ice cream with a laid back vibe and comfy seating, highlighted with coastal decor. They have outdoor seating as well as room to grow with a second very large seating room in the back. This place will be busting at the seams year ‘round. ☕️ Drive ya mama over, bring your friends and kids, and grab a seat to enjoy an amazing coffee drink or ice cream. All choices are win wins for you and the community. They’ll be brewin’ and scooping’ their way into your routine in no time. Five stars!

Great new spot to check out in Elberta! Cool vibe. I hope to try out all the drinks on the menu. We tried a few drinks on the first day, something I noticed is that the drinks are pretty sweet so keep that in mind. Will have to try a few other things, I look forward to it! No breakfast items either, but it’s possible it could be in the works? The location is great! All in all, very happy for a new spot!

State Street Coffee and Ice Cream is an absolute gem! The coffee here is perfect. I especially recommend the Sandy Creek Latte; it’s smooth, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. They also have an excellent selection of ice cream, with a wide range of flavors to choose from.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is the atmosphere. There’s tons of space to relax, get some homework done, or even hold a meeting. It’s comfortable, welcoming, and totally kid-friendly — the kind of spot that feels just right for everyone.

I got a iced Matcha with oat milk and simple syrup and my daughter got a vanilla cone. They also had two dairy-free ice cream options made with oat milk which I’ve never seen anywhere before so that was exciting!!

We visited with a group of friends and had beverages which we enjoyed while sitting in comfy couches and chairs set up perfectly for conversation in our group of 8.
Some of us had coffee, but I chose a matcha latte. Absolutely delicious! This is a local family owned place. It is a former gas/service station they transformed. It also has a function room space.
They also serve Hershey’s ice cream in numerous flavors, and yes, you can get a coffee/ice cream drink combo!

I am SO excited about this coffee and ice cream shop! It is so nice and decorated beautifully. The staff is so nice and the coffee is delicious. They have a big room with couches and tables for hanging out or doing work. I can’t wait to go back!
