Very quiet lil place. And we loved it. We got the pretzel which was huge. Then I just wanted a small chicken salad. And we got the Jeffery which we ventured a tad. And it was all so yum. The salad was so light. Prefect!! The atmosphere was laid back.

Always order the same thing… cheeseburger, fries with a side of blue cheese (tastes homemade) and splurge on an order of fried pickle chips because WOW, they are the best I’ve ever had and you get a huge platter of them for $8.75. I appreciate the quality and consistency of this order every time. The burger buns are moist yet toasted just right. Servers have perfect vibe of being friendly without hovering. Clean dining area and bathroom and best of all the option to eat outside. Absolutely love this little spot

State & central is our go to spot. With and without the kids. We love it here. The food is amazing, the staff is amazing. Best burgers in town and much more. Such a fun place. It’s probably a good thing we don’t live in the neighborhood, or it would be multiple times a week vs our Friday night routine.

The cheeseburger was pretty good but the veggies were sparse. hardly any onion and tomato. The tomato slice was so small it only covered half the burger. They could have at least put two on. The fries were hot and good. They would have got four stars if they hadn’t cheaped out on the tomato and onion.

We stopped my this little cute neighborhood for lunch. The waitress recommended their famous fried chicken waffle so we went ahead with her suggestion and also ordered a side of fries. Fried chicken was delicious and juicy. Gravy flavor was a bit light but great combination with the chicken. The service was great. We were happy to have our lunch here before we head back.

S&C is just a few blocks from my house. Because they are a local business, I want to support them. Tonight I was exhausted from work and didn’t want to cook. I haven’t been to S&C in awhile, so I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon, lettuce, tomato, and gf bun. Fries come with. I also got a side of coleslaw. When I picked up my order the wait person was super friendly and attentive. The order totaled about $30. Ouch!
The food; the coleslaw was nearly the worst I have ever had. Absolutely NO flavor. None. Why even sell the stuff? Who made this crap? The fries were under cooked. Not quite crispy on the outside. Dense on the inside. The burger was disappointing. A small amount of cheese, two over cooked pieces of bacon, two over sized pieces of lettuce, a tomato slice that was literally 1.25″ in diameter and super thin. Then there was a dollop of ketchup. An nderwhelming burger at best. For $30 everything should be delectable and enticing. It ain’t! I get it that the price of everything is going up and the staff need to be taken care of, but if your cook doesn’t care about what is being served…….? I cannot go back to S&C. In these economic challenged times, I can’t risk money on mediocre food. There are way better, but much cheaper burgers in town.

Chilly…ok, cold, day! We sat at the bar to eat and it was like sitting by a fireplace! Perfect! Plus, we could see all the dishes being prepared before ordering. First up, made from scratch donuts rolled all round in sugar. Man, that hit the spot-several times! Went with biscuits and gravy-great biscuits, soft inside with a bit of resistance on the outside, gravy was a bit strong on the sausage but good gravy base. Also the chicken fried steak, yes, yes, yes. Friendly staff, lots of smiles but not overdone. Check ‘em out. Can’t wait to get the humongous pretzel with pimento cheese
