We paid $28.99 for a 1-dozen shrimp plate, $24.99 for a 1-dozen shrimp only—and then another $8 for four tiny cups of tartar/cocktail sauce for to-go order. I’ve eaten seafood all over the U.S. and across Asia and have never been charged extra for basic shrimp condiments, especially at those prices.
The shrimp were fine, but getting nickel-and-dimed for sauce in north Louisiana is wild. The pricing completely killed the value and left a bad taste long after the meal was over.

The food has improved since the opening of the restaurant. All food was tasty, crispy & fresh. The fish & hushpuppies were fried golden brown, the baked potato was huge, & the cold slaw was sweet & juicy. All staff were friendly & made me feel welcome. Customers can select from a menu or eat from the buffet. The meals are moderately priced. There is a section for large groups. I will return again.

Quaint favorite community catfish buffet go-to, don’t expect city fancy. Folks are very friendly there. The crispy fried catfish is a great dinner option; comes with hush puppies and trips to the salad/condiments/desert buffet. Prices are decent.
