Cannot recommend this place enough. ✨ ️

It was so yummy and it definitely was a hidden gem. Anyone who is going to Stowe I recommend stopping here. This is my first time having a fixed course menu, and it was the best. The service was also amazing despite it being Christmas Eve. The place was very cute too. We will be back 1000%.

What an absolute wonderful evening. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were greeted with smiling staff, a comfortable atmosphere and beautifully appointed dining areas.
We sat at the bar where Joey took excellent care of us. One dish after the other impressed our senses and palates.
Such an excellent 1st experience and we look so forward to returning!

What a beautiful restaurant. The staff were all excellent from describing the food to the service, the food itself was local and excellently prepared. We ate family style so we could share as much as possible, you don’t want to just eat one thing here.

Having tried many award winning restaurants across 6 continents I can honestly say that Starry Night Café is worth a trip.

I was gifted a dinner to Starry Night Cafe last night for my birthday. After hearing amazing reviews we were really looking forward to it. We ordered the scallops and bass on the menu and shared the plates…Unfortunately my partner and I both got pretty sick within the hour of being home. This ruined the occasion and I don’t recommend ordering either of those dishes.

We went because our neighbor gave us a gift card. Overall I would rate it 7 out of 10, or 4 out of 5. There were three main errors that prevented it from being a perfect experience. The flavor of the food was spot on except for one part of the steak tartare which I will cover later.
The first mistake was right when we were seated. They say the two of us next to two large very noisy groups of 5+ people so we couldn’t hear ourselves think for most of the dinner, but that’s not a horrendous mess up if the restaurant is busy.
The second mistake was the steak tartare. It was almost perfect except that the puffed rice they served with it was burnt and could be tasted through the cardamom seeds and creamy beef flavors very strongly. Other than that the tartare was very well blended between seasoning and beef flavors.
The final mistake was with my pasta dish, the caccio e pepe, or cheese and pepper noodles. The noodles were almost raw when first served and had to be sent back for additional cooking.

The positives overall outweighed the negatives and flavor wise everything was exceptional. The sirloin steak with black garlic was phenomenal, and the black garlic was noticeable but soft enough to blend in with the herbs and potatoes smoothly. The pot de creme was a nice blend of sweet maple cream, tart sauce and candied nuts and the lavender lemon cake was absolutely flawless.

We went here while visiting from Michigan. Safe to say that we chose correctly for our “treat yourself” meal. We had steak tartare, heirloom tomato toast, two pastas, the bass entree, two deserts, and 6 cocktails between three people. Portions were great. Service was great. Atmosphere was great. Drinks were great. The food was incredible.

Enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner. Food was phenomenal. Large portions, two of us split one starter and one entree and had leftovers. Outdoor seating is so lovely. Not somewhere we would go frequently, but would definitely go back for a special occasion.

One of the top restaurants in the Burlington and surrounding areas. We have eaten there a few times and the food is usually spot on. A time or two things have been kind of weirdly seasoned but overall we have been happy with what we have gotten there. Be prepared to spend some money as the prices are fairly high and drinks are as well. They do have a good wine selection and creative cocktails.

Starry Night Cafe is a perfect restaurant to go to for anniversaries, birthdays, and other special occasions. It’s inconspicuous from the outside and spacious, tastefully styled, and charming inside.

The menu could have used a poultry and more local ingredients but the food was fantastic. We had the halibut, salmon, and salad. Halibut was beautifully cooked and paired well with muscles and hazelnuts. Salad was lightly dressed a chamomile vinaigrette and paired with toasted sunflower seeds.

If you’re visiting Vermont then starry night cafe should be at the top of your list.
