Starr’s is a chef-owned fine dining restaurant on Main Street in Waterloo, NY. Intentionally small, locally sourced, and made to be savored. Our menu rotates with the seasons, built around what’s fresh and grown nearby. Wednesday is Homemade Pasta & Girls’ Night. Mondays bring Work Boots & Wine: a night for our food, wine, and ag industry neighbors. Every evening is an unhurried experience, done really, really well. Travel alot for work, so always looking for that go too spot while, I am in a certain area. First night ordered a Ribeye and its probably one if the top 5 ribeyes I’ve had. (Coming from a guy that raises his own beef and knows how to cook a steak”. Came back the next night and ordered the half chicken. Was also perfect. I was unaware until later in the evening, that the owner cooks all the food and her mother is actually the one in charge of all the deserts. After eating dinner was fortunate to have a lomg great conversation with the owner, the manager, the mother and father. Starrs a great cook and buisness owner and her family speaks volumes about that! Great people, great food, great atmosphere. I’ll eat here everytime im in town, no reason to go else where.

This was our 1st time tonight 9/27 and it was EXCELLENT!!! Everything we ordered was PERFECT!!! My boyfriend got the steak had alot of flavor, I ordered the Fungi Pasta that was tasty and favorable!! The Beet Pickled Deviled Eggs were great too. There’s homemade dessert for the Chocolate Torte and the Chocolate Bread Pudding amazing!! We got a reserved table #10 and our sever Stefan was like no other. He was kind and just had a welcoming attitude as a waiter. He made sure everything was ok, and treated you like a family member than a customer!! Bought two Kitchen Rounds for the excellent service!! Will definitely come back even though we live 45mins away this was well worth it!!! THANK YOU STEFAN

Starr’s was hands down the BEST food i have ever had in my entire life. In all 37 years nothing was as good as this. The duck frite was a new experience and wr loved it. The steaks were top of the top quality and cooled to beyond perfection. Truthfully i am at a loss for words on how to describe the taste of everything. The waitress was extremely nice and helpful and knowledgeable about everything, drinks included. She even made me an item that wasn’t on the menu and then a drink that she herself created on the spot. Heavenly. This place is a 5 star restaurant that has proudly earned those stars. This is an absolute MUST for everyone!

Fantastic food, and very accommodating! The chef, Starr, came out for my vegetarian sister to figure out a custom entree she would enjoy because there was nothing on the menu that appealed to her. I had the steak rubbed with coffee and cocoa, and it was delicious. Highly recommend, I’m sure this place will go far!

Long-time friends met up with hubby and I in the Finger Lakes area. We found Starr’s doing a “restaurant near me” search. What a gem!! There’s something for everyone, it’s upscale cuisine, and the atmosphere was fantastic. We weren’t dressed up (it’s vacation, ya know); didn’t matter. We ordered calamari, roasted cauliflower, pork tenderloin, 1/2 chicken, and pasta fungi with shrimp. We loved every bite. Bonus: the 2 women eating pork had perfect portions – not overstuffed & nothing to throw out. Okay kinda stuffed ’cause it was delicious; about 1/3 to 1/2 of a tenderloin per person on a bed of veggies. It’s all super fresh and perfectly seasoned. At about $28 per plate plus 2 apps plus 3 cocktails ($14 each) & a beer… the total bill was $212 after tax. Sounds high, but 100% worth every penny.
