Starlite Burger and Coney Island isn’t your average diner. Our original location opened its doors in 1966. We’ve been serving unbeatable burgers, coneys and breakfast food combos to our Flint area neighbors ever since. Now with our second location coming soon, getting your hands on a classic double cheeseburger has never been easier. If our diner seems like a blast from the past, that’s because it is. For over 50 years, two generations of our family have kept everything about our original 24/7 diner true to its roots. Our second location, Starlite Burger and Coney Shop, is the same 1950s-style diner, just in a different spot.

Food was decent. The waitress definitely needs to pay better attention to things but I understand when you’re busy you make mistakes. Definitely being going back. The skillet potato’s had a lot of flavor the omelette wasn’t that great, pancake was good.

Coming back to Starlite after having moved out of Michigan was as great as I was hoping it was going to be. I grew up around the Flint area and Starlite was amazing back then too. The staff are always so nice. The food was sooooo good as usual too. I recommend getting that peanut butter shake. It’s so good.

It’s a quaint little restaurant. Hasn’t changed much over the years. You can see the years of use on the tables and booths. It’s kept clean and tidy. The wait staff are friendly and right on top of things. The food was great. It had been a long time since I’ve had a coney, it was as delicious as I remembered and brought back many childhood memories. They have good fair prices. The service was fast and the food was hot.

I think every booth had ripped and torn seats covered with duct tape, maybe. Several seats didn’t even have tape over the giant gashes. It’s a seat yourself situation and we waited quite a while before our server gave us menus and asked for our drink order. We all asked for water and waited at least another 10 minutes before she came back to take our orders.
When the food came out I was surprised by the portion sizes, but once I tasted the food I understood why there was so much food.
Hand battered fish, made with our seasoned batter is what the menu claimed, but what I got was not hand battered. It most definitely is frozen fish that came battered that they’re throwing in the fryer.
Hot beef sandwich was bland, and the gravy was obviously some canned gravy they warmed up. There was more mashed potatoes than anything else.
I was disappointed overall and likely won’t return.

Have ordered the Philly cheese steak combo many many times at the drive through on Court st in Burton. Ordered one today and there was hardly any steak on bun it looked like about a third of was i have always received. I called in to complain and was told everything is weighed and that was it unless I wanted to drive 20 min there 20 min home to return it and get my money back.

Just a guy from NJ looking for local food & people. Super nice folks here + a snapshot of the locals. I was pleased with the value of the “Working Man Special” & the pleasant waitress who recommended it. Wish I could have stayed in town longer to try other things on their menu. Breakfast offerings looked awesome.
