Honestly this place has gone downhill as I remember it.
Me and my grandfather used to dine here all the time.
Today we ordered takeout, but we’re in davison so it’s a bit of a drive. We prefer takeout because someone of our party is in a wheelchair. I figured I’d give this place a shot again, but i regret doing so. Me and someone else both ordered the 4 piece tender dinner. So much for “jumbo tenders” they were very small and extremely dry, not even enjoyable with sauce. The fries were cold and soggy, the cheese curds were also very greasy. I understand cheese curds are already greasy, but this was way too much. The entire meal I had made me want To throw up. The only good thing that came from it was the omelette someone else from my party ordered, which surprisingly wasnt bad. This isnt the first time Ive had a bad experience here, if you’re going to eat here, just sit at a table and pray.

Went out to eat with the husband. Didnt expect the bill to be about $40. Had we known as such, we wouldve never sat down or ordered. But we did. I thought the bill would be in the range of somewhere near 25 or less. As soon as we saw the bill, we spoke to the waitress telling her of the dilemma. She offered to help with a senior discount. Then apparently the manager called the store owner. To which the store owner wanted my husband to leave his drivers license. But then I asked how do they expect my husband to drive as I dont drive and cant drive. I mean its the law to drive. I mean I was nice enough to let the restaurant know their foyer was slippery as I almost fell on my way in. Thats a liability and lawsuit. Next time, I wont be so nice. Its safe to say I was idiot to not make sure I had enough money and safe to say that they were idiots too! They lost me and my husband as customers! I prefer the other Starlite as they are cheaper and more reasonable. I mean for a 4 piece tender plate it was $8 and some change. At this location, you pay $10 and thats not even including the drink

Great food, the amount, taste, service, let’s just say you get what you pay for!! Never had a problem with anything and I’ve been coming here and the main location on Center Rd for over 30yrs now. My personal favorites are the coneys,cheeseburgers, ham and cheese omelet with hash browns, and fish n chips, for sides chili cheese fries, fried mushrooms,cauliflower, and pickles. Shakes are great here also if you want the whole shebang. I promise you won’t leave hungry and you’ll enjoy coming here. This is a family dining restaurant for all ages.

For over six years I have been coming to this location and I have ordered the exact same thing without fail:
Chicken tender meal with waffle fries, hold the coleslaw, and add extra waffle fries along with a big cup of ranch dressing.
I just stopped in for lunch and was looking forward to the same meal. Well that didn’t happen. There was a waitress who I had not been served by before who took my order. When I gave the order she firmly said, ‘ we don’t do that substitution here.’ I tried to tell her that I have been coming to this establishment for six years and this is what I’ve always ordered. She kept telling me I was wrong. The funny thing is she waited until I walked out to ask anyone else if this could be done.
You would think she would have checked instead of arguing with me.
I don’t eat here every day, but I try to make it in at least once a month, and when I have business lunch I always recommend we go to Starlite. Not anymore.
And hey, if y’all had a policy change or something I get it, but let’s be less condescending towards customers when they’ve been ordering the exact same meal for over five years from the same spot.
Yeah, in the grand scheme of things my lunch was not very important, but I had been looking forward to this lunch today, bc I genuinely love starlite’s food, and that waitress just killed the day for me.
I’ll probably try lunch again but it’s gonna be a minute because that interaction was super negative. She wasn’t mean, or disrespectful in any way, but she acted like a know it all when she did not in fact know it all.

Came here on a Wednesday night, place was packed and yet the food service was on point. I must have drank about 6 ice teas, the server never let my cup get empty. Best service I’ve had in a long time. My wife and I will definitely be back.

trying to set up a catering order with this restaurant has become a nightmare. I called four days ago and was told I needed to leave a message with Jason who handles the catering for a simple burger bar There has not been a single person in the restaurant that could help me. I’ve called four times to the restaurant and left four separate messages with Jason and had not yet received a call back as of this morning at 9 o’clock four days later. No one in the restaurant knew how to price a simple burger bar. There was no manager present for the last four days nor an owner. And calling Jason was absolute waste of time. He actually answered his call his phone this morning to let me know he was in Florida. Which is fine I understand people in the restaurant business Need some valuable time off, especially with how hard they all work. The hours suck. But a simple callback would’ve been nice now I’m jammed up on a Monday morning with no food to take to my customers

The food is hit or miss. One day good, the next day it’s nasty and greasy. Went to get coney dogs. One Flint style, one Detroit style with fries and a drink. Gal at the window REPEATED MY ORDER BACK TO ME, and STILL got the order wrong. She only put in for ONE dog. This was dinner for me and the husband. When I mentioned she got the order wrong, she was more than willing to ring up another dog. I told her to skip it. Seems like some places just don’t care. We won’t be back.

Pretzel burger. You all should be ashamed. Could have second for a veggie burger. Paper thin burger with a 4 inch burnt bun. 2 Pretzel burgers 2 fries and one pop and was 27 and change I wasted. After a life time of eating there.. that was the last straw. I will never go back.
