Customer for 3 years. They greatly cheapened the Babka, but the server said the Chocolate Babka has less filling, and next time try one of the fruit flavored Babkas. So I did, and as I have had both the chocolate, and all of the fruit Babkas before, they both now have, I estimate, 1/10th the filling they once had. That’s a massive change! The last time, and will remain last time I was there, this past summer, I asked the server if the Figgy Bars have less sugar than some of the other offerings? She went in the back, and when she came out, she said they are too busy so I couldn’t ask. So I thought they probably were less sweet so I bought one. WOW!!! I’m 70 years old, and have never tasted anything in my life that had more sugar than that! It was basically not edible! I thought maybe the bag of sugar had tipped over into the mixing bowl or something? All I could taste was sugar. As far as the coffee goes, why is it necessary for things to be weird in Vermont? They serve the iced coffee in a small glass jar, and put 2 ice cubes in it, and by the time they melt, you have tepid coffee. There is only one choice for hot coffee, lattess, and cappuccinos. It is about a 10 to 12 ounce cup! It is sad when a much better choice is Dunkin Donuts coffee.

Hannah was so pleasant serving us, welcoming, knew all about the baked goods and was polite in checking us out. We got the orange and pistachio olive cake, warm chocolate chip cookie, coffee cake, pizza and sourdough bread. Everything was delicious, my favorite was the orange and pistachio olive cake – need two next time! Thank you, Hannah!

We are incredibly lucky to have this gem of a bakery right here in town. I’ve been coming here since they opened, and it’s about time I share how truly special this place is. Their skills are top-notch, and it shows in every loaf, pastry, and bite.
The bread? Absolutely amazing. It’s the kind of bread that makes you slow down and appreciate craftsmanship—crusty, flavorful, and baked to perfection. This bakery is everything you’d want in a Vermont bakery: rustic, thoughtful, and full of heart.
And then there’s Dawn, the warm, friendly face behind the counter who makes every visit feel personal. She’s one of those people who instantly puts you at ease, always greeting you with a smile and a kind word. Walking in and seeing Dawn is as much a part of the experience as the incredible bread.
I’ve attached a photo to give you a glimpse of the beauty they create, shot with proper lighting to do justice to their craftsmanship. Trust me, the bread tastes even better than it looks.
If you haven’t been, do yourself a favor and stop by. This bakery is a true treasure, and I’m so grateful it’s part of our community.
