The food was TRASH…$44 for two rib dinners that and was heated up in the microwave. The ribs were oven baked. Sides were awful too.Use to be good when Pat owned it. I couldn’t even rate it…that’s how awful it was

My husband wanted to go here to try their Soulfood Sunday. We pulled up and only one SUV was parked in the parking lot and I believe it was someone who worked at the Stardust Lounge. Although I told him I didn’t want any food from the Stardust Lounge he still bought me some food. He ordered 2 carryout dinners. We went home to eat the food. He opened his container inside of it was ribs, macaroni and cheese, dressing and he had a container with a side of fried corn. He gave me my container, inside of it was 2 not quite smothered pork chops, dressing, blackeye peas and a container with a side of macaroni and cheese. We both each had a piece of cornbread wrapped up. The food didn’t taste like it was freshly made. The pork chops were fried, had very little gravy on them so they were not smothered and they were thin. The dressing was salty, the texture was lumpy and it didn’t taste like dressing or have a dressing taste. My husband even said the dressing was lumpy. The blackeye peas tasted alright I just wanted more meat in them. The macaroni and cheese didn’t taste fresh, it tasted slightly old and it didn’t have enough cheese in it or on it. The piece of cornbread was small, split in half, hard and crumbled both pieces of cornbread we gave them to our dog. My husband said the cornbread was old. My husband’s ribs he said tasted like they weren’t seasoned and bland he gave me a rib so I could taste it and it wasn’t seasoned and was bland. I wanted to go to Victory Soulfood to get some food, we both were disappointed. And he said he spent $49 dollars and said the money he spent he could have went to Victory Soulfood or Lee’s Famous Chicken he said even Mr. B’s would have been better than that food. I told him when I started eating my food the food was not hitting. I told him I was still hungry and wanted to go somewhere else to get some food. So no, I don’t recommend Soulfood Sundays at the Stardust Lounge.

As a suggestion I tried the food here, soulfood Sun i wasn’t disappointed, although it wasn’t the best I’ve had, but it was not the worst. It was tasty and satisfying, I would definitely go back.

From out of town and wanted some neighborhood soul food. The food was outstanding, they really took care of us. The cook actually wore a chef uniform. Playing old school music in the background.
