Last week, I purchased a grilled cheese and sat in the lobby to eat. After I finished, I remained seated and was clearly on my phone. Jen approached me with a broom and told me I “couldn’t sleep in the lobby,” even though I was visibly awake and using my phone. The comment felt unnecessary and dismissive.
Today, the experience was even worse. I walked up to the counter and was met with no greeting, no acknowledgment — just a stare. I asked for a venti iced water, and she didn’t respond or repeat my order. I had to ask if she heard me at all. She finally said someone else was getting it, followed by another hostile look.
For someone in a shift leader position, this level of attitude and lack of professionalism is surprising. Customer service should make guests feel welcome, not uncomfortable or unwelcome. I truly hope management addresses this, because this location has the potential to be much better.

I gave this Starbucks a Overall Score of 4.0:
-inside the building you’ll find yourself in a very narrow space, upon walking in further you’ll enter a more open space(no claustrophobia concerns in here!), there is plenty of seating for meetings and homework studying. The atmosphere is fresh… with lots of windows for light to come in. One of the few “classy” Starbucks I’ve been in! Bathrooms are rather small but very clean and nice! Accommodation score: 8/10
-the drive-thru is very wide for big trucks to easily come into, and the line doesn’t seem to get held up often. Drive-thru score: 7/10
– the baristas were EXTREMELY nice, I’m impressed! Service score: 9/10
– very good food, was well cooked and warm – (Ordered a couple sandwiches)… the drinks were nice and sweet ANNNNDDD -LOADED- with extra caramel that I did not ask for but omg it’s like they know me!! anyways… Food score: 8/10!

There has been several times they got my “coffee” order wrong…at this particular location in Cameron Park.
I’ve ordered and paid for coffee drinks that didn’t have what I asked for! I expect to get what I ask & pay for, it’s that simple!
Just today, I ordered a Honey, Citrus, Mint Tea for my wife…when I got home, gave my wife the drink, she opened it to stir it and noticed the drink looked milky! WTH?!
There’s a 50% chance you’re gonna’ get the exact coffee drink that you ordered at this particular location!
Guess, I’ll be taking my business to Dutch Bros.
