Yesterday morning I went to this Starbucks because it’s only 5–7 minutes from my job. I arrived at the drive-thru at 4:28 a.m. since they’re supposed to open at 4:30. I waited at the speaker and tried to order, but no one answered. Cars kept lining up behind me.
After about 15 minutes with no response, and because I had to be at work at 5:00 a.m., the car behind me and I slowly pulled up to the window. I could see two employees inside getting things ready. The window didn’t open until around 4:52 a.m., so I had been waiting about 22 minutes.
When the employee finally opened the window, I asked if they opened at 4:30 or 5 because of how long I’d been waiting. She said it wasn’t her fault and told me I had to go back around and order at the speaker. After waiting that long, with several cars behind me, that was ridiculous. I left without being served, and so did the person behind me.
All I wanted was a quick coffee before work. Very disappointing experience. One of the employees was wearing glasses. I definitely won’t be coming back to this location.
This incident has genuinely shaken my trust—not only in this location but possibly in the Starbucks brand as a whole. I’ve always expected better standards, and this experience has left me unsure if I’ll ever return.
I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the hygiene issues immediately.
