The drinks were just as good as normal. I would say when it’s around 12-2 there’s a lot of influx of online/inperson orders so it takes a bit for them to get to your order.
The people there are nice but not overly so. I’ve heard greetings before but not every time and honestly most days I prefer not a chatty person. I’m there for coffee not a chat.
While there is outdoor tables and chairs This location doesn’t have any indoor seating but that’s most likely due to the space itself and how they remodeled it. And it’s definitely more of a grab and go location due to downtown parking, the walkway it’s located in, and I’d say if you’re walking most places it’s good for a quick drink.

This is one of the most depressing Starbucks locations I’ve ever seen, especially considering how nice the store they shut down to open here was. Zero seating inside, and hardly any room to stand in line to order, or to wait to pick up your drink without being in the way. I can’t see this store lasting long here.

I am a frequent Starbucks visitor. Some might say I have a problem. This is the first time I have written a review for a Starbucks location. I went to this location on 11/30/25 at 9:30am. The store manager needs to have a conversation with the guy working who has a mustache. He came across as condescending when my wife asked about why our drinks were taking soooo long to make when there was no backup whatsoever. He needs a lesson regarding customer service and how to treat customers. This is coming from a former Starbucks employee.

ONE STAR to the tall guy, curly hair and glasses that was so pre-occupied on his cell phone and then work phone to 1. take our order (we were the only ones in here) and 2. When my wife asked for the bathroom code you said “It’s out of order”. THE ONLY REASON WE BOUGHT SOMETHING WAS SO SHE COULD USE THE RESTROOM>>>SINCE SLO HAS NNNNNOOOOO RESTROOMS ANYWHERE! My wife went up to the very nice (5 star) young lady that prepared the drink and asked again and she said sure – I just need to put toilet paper in it, follow me. September 1st at around 3pm if you want to check who was working. Oh, by the way, fix your front door – it slams.

I recently visited this Starbucks location and observed that the staff seemed to prioritize online orders over in-store customers. Upon entering, I did not receive a greeting, and the focus appeared to be on fulfilling pickup orders solely. After I placed my order for a nitro cold brew, I waited for 15 minutes, with about 10 of those minutes spent waiting alone in the store. Given the extended delay, I requested a refund.
I believe this location could benefit from improving customer engagement and order fulfillment for in-store guests. A more balanced approach to managing both online and in-person orders could enhance the overall customer experience.

Love going to this Starbucks!! I really, REALLY love the inspirational cardboard coffee cup sleeves. The employees leave blank ones out and everyone who visits gets to write something for a random person. Then random person gets it on their coffee. And all the writings are inspirational, creative, and positive. I wish all Starbucks would do this. I NEED (love) this kind of positivity in my life.
