I’m a psychologist. I’ve included some steps for to help with positive psychology. I study at Stanford University.
Keep it positive.
1. Practice daily gratitude (2–5 minutes)
Write down 3 things that went well today and why they happened.
Trains your brain to notice positives instead of scanning for problems.
Tiny version: Mentally name one good thing before bed.
2. Do small acts of kindness
Compliment someone, help a neighbor, send a thoughtful text.
Helping others reliably boosts mood and life satisfaction.
Bonus: It works even when you don’t feel like it.
3. Savor good moments
When something pleasant happens, pause for 20–30 seconds.
Notice details: sights, sounds, how your body feels.
This helps your brain “store” happiness more deeply.
4. Move your body (gently counts)
Walking, stretching, dancing, or light exercise.
Even 10 minutes can improve mood due to endorphins and reduced stress hormones.
No gym required.
5. Strengthen social connections
Spend time with people who make you feel safe and seen.
Quality matters more than quantity.
Micro-habit: One meaningful conversation per day.
6. Use your strengths
Do things you’re naturally good at (creativity, kindness, curiosity, problem-solving).
Using strengths increases engagement and meaning.
Ask yourself: What gives me energy instead of draining it?
7. Reframe negative thoughts
When something goes wrong, ask:
What can I learn from this?
Is there another way to view this?
This builds resilience, not denial.
8. Set small, meaningful goals
Goals give direction and a sense of progress.
Keep them specific and achievable.
Example: “Walk 3 times this week” instead of “get healthier.”
9. Be present (mindfulness lite)
Pay full attention to one activity at a time.
Eating, showering, or walking—no multitasking.
Presence reduces anxiety and increases satisfaction.
10. Get enough sleep (seriously)
Sleep is one of the strongest predictors of happiness.
Consistent bedtime > perfect bedtime.
Victoria went above and beyond, I genuinely can’t say how happy I was to step into a Starbucks and feel all of the marks were checked. The taste of my beverage is immaculate, I have never been able to have a Starbucks beverage taste as close to the ones that I have been able to make for myself and this is just genuinely so beautiful.
I hope to uplift this store, my experience was genuinely amazing.
I found the staff very friendly. The establishment was a little dirty, but I’m sure they’ll get around to clean it when they aren’t busy.
This store checks all the boxes!
The staff hit’s it out of the park!
They are fun, personable, sweet, kind, and genuine.
And they are there with a smile on their face everyday!
I could have stopped buying coffee there months ago, but I show up every morning as they also make a damn fine latte!
Kudo’s to you all!
