The last several months their flavors seem so bland, their Christmas flavors at this location seemed very bland compared to other Starbucks locations. I got a pistachio latte today and disappointed tasted very bland regular coffee with creamer not a hint of pistachio flavor and definitely not worth $7

Customer beware: recently this location has become unreliable in its operation. If you place your order using the app with the intention of walking / bicycling here you will be locked out. I stood near the drive-thru window for over 15 minutes, in the cold waiting for my order. And as the lobby is closed, there’s nowhere comfortable to sit and enjoy the drink. And if you try to call ahead of time on the phone to find out if said lobby might be open? Store # fails to ring, let alone get answered. It’d be good to know the reason(s) for closure. Is it a change of management / staffing + labor issues / building problems / homeless / crime? Fortunately there are other nearby options to get your morning beverage. Going elsewhere until this location’s mess and inconvenience gets resolved (if it ever does).

I’m extremely disappointed with the service at this location. My order has been messed up two times in a row now, and both mistakes were serious. I am dairy-free, yet dairy was put in my drink anyway, which is not just an inconvenience — it can be a health issue. On top of that, sweetener was added when I specifically requested none, and ice was included even though I asked for no ice.
What’s even more frustrating is the wait time. It consistently takes 20+ minutes to receive a drink, even when the store doesn’t appear overly busy. Waiting that long only to receive an incorrect order is unacceptable.
I understand mistakes happen occasionally, but repeated errors like this show a lack of attention to customer requests and dietary restrictions. I hope management addresses both the accuracy and speed issues, because this experience has made me hesitant to return.

On Dec 26, 2025, I placed a pickup order at 9:20 AM and the app said it would be ready at 9:29 AM. When I arrived at 9:29, the staff had completely forgotten the order. They kept working on drive-through orders (only about 4–5 cars), but moved extremely slowly and looked unprofessional—like it was their first day.
After we reminded them, their attitude was rude and dismissive, repeatedly saying “it’ll be right there.” When the drink was finally made, they left it inside instead of handing it to us—we had to point out what looked like our order before they gave it to me. I didn’t get it until 9:49 AM, and it was made incorrectly. We also asked for a sleeve and a straw, and they said they weren’t “set up” and didn’t have them. Overall a frustrating waste of time.

Had to correct the person a few times on our order as we were going through the drive through. We still received the wrong drink;
No added shot, received an iced drink, and wrong added pump.
I understand when it’s busy, and maybe hard to hear, but when you’re corrected 3 times, & given the time to fix the order, it shouldn’t still be wrong.
I wanted to address it at the window but didn’t want to go in or hold the line up. Mind you it was noon on a Sunday?!

The location is perfect as it is right on state street and very close to I-80. Parking is convenient. Service is fast and very friendly. Came in for a cake pop and cocoa for my three year old son and hot cider for myself to curb the cold day. My son gave a thumbs up for his cocoa and the cider was on point. I will be back. I highly recommend.

This location is sloppy they mess up on my drink every other time i get me my iced caramel macchiato, breve style whipped cream and extra caramel drizzle I have even went and drove up nine blocks to 900 E. and 2100 S. and I have went to that Starbucks in the Smith’s. They are so much more accurate and do the drinks correctly and the employees there are very nice and respectful they don’t have attitudes. The one on State Street and 21st is very unprofessional. Some of the employees are rude and have attitude really disappointed in this location because it’s closer to me, but they always mess up.
