I always enjoy stopping by this Starbucks. The girls working there are genuinely kind, welcoming, and professional. They greet you with a smile and make the whole experience feel easy and pleasant. It’s clear they care about customer service and creating a positive atmosphere. Great Cannonball drinks and even better people — definitely one of my favorite local spots! And my dog Charley has them wrapped around his paw because he always manages to score a Pup Cup!

Twice in this new location, twice leaving very disappointed. No cold brew either time. First pictured below is my usual- salted caramel creme cold brew purchased from the location at Central and Rock in Wichita.
The first time the girl at the register told me that she couldn’t reccomend anything to sub because she doesn’t drink coffee. Okay, that’s fine. They were busy so I bought a couple gift cards and moved on.
The second time, the young man at the register was obviously not really happy to be there and came off quite rude. Someone who seemed like a manager stepped up and recommend the swill pictured below. This was the absolute worst drink I’ve ever tasted. It was a pure affront to Starbucks and coffee. To add insult, it took over 5 minutes to make. Only one employee acknowledged knowing how to make the iced coffee base. Did he make it? No. Was there plenty of complaining and horseplay behind the counter? Yes. Meanwhile, a lady passing through town waited just as long for a vanilla bean frap. We had plenty of time to discuss the weather and her travels. No joke. She asked me if it was always this negative of an experience. Apparently, ma’am, apparently…
Some extra training on making the drinks on the menu and how to speak to customers would be lovely.

Staff had a really hard time understanding how to use an old mag stripe gift card that has never given me a problem at any other Starbucks location. They also wanted me to swipe on a hand held reader through the drive through. After I responded that the gift card was too old to have a chip reader I was asked if it had tap functionality.

It’s expensive for what your getting. Their competition does it better, for less money. It’s the iPhone of coffee shops, you pay extra for the trendy brand name thats not as good, but you’re somehow convinced its better because it costs more.

Passing by Dodge City so we placed a mobile order, I got a Mocha Cookie Crumble with a shot & it tastes too strong as if they put more pumps of the frap roast than the usual. Definitely way too strong.

My daughter did a online order for two things and they told us it was being worked on and for us to pull up to the front and when its done they would bring it out. Well we sat there for 15 minutes and there was no customer’s in the store so I decided to see what was taking so long and when I walked in and ask about the order it was sitting behind the counter for awhile cause the cookie was supposed to be warmed up but it was Hella cold and hard. I have been going to star bucks for 14 years this was disappointing.

I go into the drive thru and I handed the girl at the register a gift card and my own card to cover the rest of the payment. She used my card first and then scanned the gift card assuming that I wanted to know how much was on the card and I expressed to her that I wanted to use the card. I didn’t get my money back until Monday this occurred on a Thursday. Then she hands me the first drink I ordered and it was in the wrong size, she hands me the next drink I ordered and it was hot I asked for it to be iced. Then finally I get my last drink and it’s made out of OAT MILK when I asked for COCONUT MILK at this point I am furious, ferocious even and I don’t make her take it back so I kept it that way and it was disgusting and full of ice. Today once again I go and ask for my regular order and both of the drinks I ordered I asked for cold foam on them. They mixed the cold foams up and gave me the CHESNUT COLD FOAM when I asked for VANILLA.
