I am not in the habit of reviewing Starbucks locations, but I felt my experience here warranted one. I was traveling and I stopped at this Starbucks because it was the highest rated one in the area. Most Starbucks get a 3.9 to a 4.0. This one scored a 4.3. So I stopped.
I was going to get a holiday latte and do a couple of hours of reading before traveling on. But guess what? They had run out of the eggnog latte and the chestnut praline latte. How did this Starbucks score a 4.3?!?
I gave them 2 stars because the barista at the register was actually very nice and was truly sorry they were out of most of their holiday lattes. And the store looked like a cozy place to spend a couple of hours reading.

Every time I visit this Starbucks location, my experience has been nothing short of perfect. I have a very unusual and difficult order that most baristas struggle to get right, but at this store they have nailed it every single time without fail. That level of consistency speaks volumes about the care and skill of the staff.

This Starbucks is in a league of its own. In a day and age where you can choose between Starbucks and Dunkin, the clear choice is Starbucks. Starbucks offers a variety of coffee drinks and other caffeinated beverages and prides themselves in customization and customer service. Dunkin serves brown water, doesn’t sequence ANYTHING, and is a prime example of the illusion of choice we have in late stage capitalism. So then you need to find the best Starbucks. Look no further. At most Starbucks drive thrus – I sit at an open window for several minutes while the barista tends to more important tasks than their current paying customer. Not here. Here I’m greeted with a smile immediately, served the correct beverage promptly, given the correct change, and wished a great day before I drive off. If I happen to take an extra few seconds to organize my stuff or take a first sip at the window I am not looked upon as a bother. The reason for this is the dedicated manager. When you have a coffee store at every corner you might as well choose the best one. And this is it. Best Starbucks ever. Should be a model/trainer store.

This Starbucks location was very clean and well run. The service was fast, the employees were very friendly and the coffee was great. The dining room had plenty of tables and chairs. There is also. patio in front of the store for outside experience. I would come to this location again.

Please never change the way you make your matcha. I have three locations near me—Carpentersville, Dundee, and Algonquin—but none of them prepare matcha the right way. It’s always colorless and flavorless. I live 15 minutes away from the Hoffman location, but I always make the drive there because it’s the only one that makes matcha look and taste like matcha. I’ve made the mistake of going to the other locations when I don’t feel like driving far, but I always leave disappointed and feeling like I wasted $7. Now, I only go to the Hoffman location because they’ve never disappointed me once.

Incredible service here! The guy with glasses who worked in the morning today was so patient, kind, and welcoming. I believe he was the manager. He seriously deserves a raise, his customer service skills as well as his warm charisma truly made my day! He kindly helped me with my problem because I mobile ordered from the wrong location as well as accidentally spilling my drink on the floor. The blonde barista was also very kind. The drinks she made were consistently excellent and came out quickly. Overall this location is very proficient and filled with lovely employees.

I have given this location many opportunities. The inconsistancy in the product is on par with the apparent turnover rate. It seems week to week there is someone different at the drive through window. I used to come 5 days a week every morning and order the same coffee, just about every day, it tasted different. Now I order a more simple drink (in hopes of getting some consistancy) … nope, turns out, a blonde roast w/ milk and splenda can mean ALOT of different things. I guess it’s Dunkin Donuts from now on.
