I don’t live around here but I came in for a coffee and I sat and drink it for about 10 minutes and went back to the register to order a pastry. Ryan remembered my name and asked if he could get anything more for me using my first name. It was just a small gesture but felt so personal and wonderful. Great job Ryan! If I lived around here I would come back to this Starbucks all the time!

Stopped for coffee 10am. Doors locked but baristas behind the counter. Didn’t bother to put a sign on to door, just let people stand outside in miserable weather wondering what was going on while they stared at them. Weird behavior.

This Starbucks location went above and beyond for me the other day. I had been to a different Starbucks location, ordered a non coffee drink, took one sip and knew it had coffee in it, but they denied it so I left and started my drive. Took a few more sips and couldn’t take it because I really do not like coffee and really wanted something nice to sip on while I drove so I decided to try again at this Lake Forest location. I explained what happened just to make sure I hadn’t accidentally ordered a coffee drink … they went above and beyond to make sure I had a perfect drink and were super friendly and generous about it. It had been an exhausting week for me and the delicious drink along with the excellent, positive experience at this Waukegan Road Lake Forest Starbucks really made my day!!!

The employees are nice here and the drinks are good. I can only give 3 stars because it’s not only incredibly small and it’s impossible to get a seat and do work as it’s a very social location where people meet to talk. Because it’s such a small location it’s extremely loud and nearly impossible to get anything done even with headphones and white noise playing. It’s much better in the warmer months when people are outside or not there because their kids are in school.

Great Starbucks. Always clean, friendly baristas, and they are great at keeping up with the (insane) amount of mobile orders. Good seating inside and outside. Lots of folks meet here to socialize rather than work, which is nice.
