I walked in and ordered 1 drink on Thanksgiving instead of going through the massive drive thru line. I was waiting for 20-30 minutes after ordering and was very unhappy. They were prioritizing mobile orders that sat on the counter for a long time before being picked up rather than the customer in front of them. I understand it’s a busy time of the year but that long of a wait time is unacceptable.

Old lady with Blue hair is extremely rude and needs more training on customer service. I ordered a coffee online and took my dog to go pick it up. As you know, you cannot order a pup cup online so I asked for it through the drive through speaker. She said “Of course, you can pull around”. Didnt take too long to get up to the window but when I did I received my order and it looked like she forgot the pup cup so I asked again if I could get one. She looked at me started waving her finger in my face telling me to wait even though she wasnt even talking to anyone. She then under her breath said “well shouldve asked for one in the first place”. She gave me the pup cup and then told me “next time, you need to ask at the speaker” I said “I did”. Then she changed the story and told me that they were extremely busy, and i looked in my mirror and saw only two cars behind me? But okay. She then continued to make me feel guilty about not asking at the speaker even though I did. Someone needs extra training or have someone else runt he drive through. Maybe put her in a position where she doesnt need to talk to people. Very rude.

Customer service is great here. The management team is stellar. The baristas do an excellent job. Great space for meetings, reading, and doing work. It’s a great spot in Hartford!

I just moved to Hartford so I was really excited to know that there was a Starbucks there because I love my Starbucks. Only this is now the third time that I’ve ordered from this one and had issues with the order.. only this time I just had no order sitting there waiting for me because I was already running late so I couldn’t wait in the drive-through any longer so I pulled around and I came in and they all remember making my order but it’s no longer there and I was 10 minutes late, so a somebody stole it because you’re not doing your job and checking out the DoorDash orders and online orders the way you’re supposed to be or be you took it to the back room for you and your crew to consume either way I expect a full refund

I am a Door Dasher and often have pick ups at the Hartford Starbucks and no matter what time of day I come in or what crew is working I am greeted with smiles. Everyone is so pleasant and lovely. When I was in yesterday I let them know how much I appreciate them. It makes my job so much easier. I just want others to know, so they stop in and visit this wonderful location. A+++++

The older lady here with blue hair has terrible customer service. I was having a rough morning and ordered a coffee through the mobile app. When I pulled to the drive through, my sister wanted a drink, so we ordered one for her and I had forgotten to let them know I was also picking up a mobile order. I told them this at the window and the lady stared at me like I made a horrible mistake. She advised me to let them know next time. I said sure and totally understood. When she went and got me my drinks, she once again advised me to let them know about my mobile order at the drive thru screen next time and not the window. I told her it was an honest mistake as I usually do notify at the screen. But she was dismissive about it and had a stern tone. She also made a snarky comment “you got 2 drinks? Just for you?”

She was outright rude. The whole interaction from drive thru to window took less than 5 minutes. But she had to make me feel guilty about forgetting to mention my mobile order at the screen. Her grabbing my mobile order drink took less than 10 seconds at the window too. What’s her problem?? I could tell the other workers around her felt uncomfortable. I didnt say anything more after her snarky comment. Just took my drinks and drove off. She should be fired for treating customers this way and making other employees feel unsafe!

Short version: Poor customer service by one worker in the drive thru. Based off other reviews I am not the only one who had this encounter with this worker with blue hair. I never leave reviews but the service was so bad I had to.

Long version: I was about 1 week post partum after a rough birth and wanted to get Starbucks to treat myself.

I ordered two drinks thru the drive thru. One drink was an iced coffee with carmel on the side. I’ve been to Starbucks and ordered this drink multiple times and every time I’ve ordered they have used the lingo “on the side”.

I pulled up to get my coffee and pay. The older woman with the blue-purple hair was at the window. I have been at this Starbucks prior and interacted with her before and never had any issues.

She asked if I meant for the Carmel to be on the side of the cup and not literally on the side. I said yes, but no big deal don’t remake the coffee I’ll just take it as is. It was not an issue for me.

After I said that, she literally leaned her head out of the drive through window towards me, lowered her voice, and said something to the effect of “next time when you order, you need to say on the side of the cup and not on the side”. It was so condescending and over the top I was shocked I was being talked to like a child. It wasn’t needed since clearly that was pretty obvious now I needed to specify how I meant on the side.

To her I said back “oh sorry, usually when I order they say ‘on the side’. I didn’t know really what to say back to her. I was so uncomfortable and just wanted to get my drink and leave.

To that she says “ God honey, it’s not the end of the world!” Scoffs, and then walks off before I could say anything back!

Seriously?? I have never been treated so poorly. I didn’t asked for my drink to be remade, I didn’t try to fight her about it. I just wanted to get my drink and leave.

If she didn’t walk off, I would’ve asked for my money back. I paid $6 to get talked down to. I literally sobbed on my way home because of how I was treated and also hormones.

Never again.

The lovely older women with the cute blue and purple hair is truly such a pleasure. She is ALWAYS friendly and pleasant when she serves me. I’m not sure how much you pay your baristas, but that woman deserves a raise!

Why do you always get attitude when you put in a mobile order and go through the drive through? Even when I arrive after the estimated time, I always get frustration when they don’t have it ready yet. I don’t understand the difference. If I didn’t put in a mobile order, you would be making it immediately upon me pulling up to drive thru any way? I thought I was being helpful by giving notice. This has happened to me so many times. Today I was given a 8:05 estimate for my mobile order, 10 minutes after I placed it. I pulled up to the window at 8:06. When I told them about my order, I got a big sigh and “well we just received it but we will move it up and have them work on it”. I felt like I was putting them out by coming when my order said it was going to be ready. If your system sucks fix it, don’t take it out on your customers.

Beware of this Starbucks, they may kill you.
I have a food allergy. I asked them not to put whipped cream on a drink. They did anyway. When I pointed out their mistake they took it back with the intent of remaking it. They did not. They just scraped off the surface cream and left the whipped cream in the middle of the drink.I became ill. Thanks a lot.
