I stopped by here to pick up a drink on my way to hit the road. It was raining really hard that morning, so I decided to go through the drive-through instead of inside I had already ordered through the mobile app. When I pulled up, the staff was very friendly and kind, even though getting a little wet. The drinks tasted great.

Okay, this is probably my favorite Starbucks ever, no exaggeration! The GM is so kind and recognizes me everytime we come. And all the staff has wonderful costumer service making all their costumers feel so welcomed and valued !! They bring people of merrillville and the surrounding areas together in a way I haven’t seen before !! Truly a treasured Starbucks location that loves their community !!!

The two blonde girls working in front were both very rude. The girl working at the window (she was kind) got my drink wrong so I went inside to have it corrected. The two blondes were laughing as they were making my drink, handed me the drink with it overflowing, and spilled it all over me, while she was laughing with her friend. On top of it, it still wasn’t the right drink. If you don’t want to work, why are you working? Make a basic drink right. It’s not that hard.

I have never in my life given a Starbucks five stars not once, this morning February 2, 2026 I pulled in to the Starbucks that I’ve never been to before I usually go to Dyer and schererville because that’s where I doordash which I’m never going to Dyer again they are the rudest people and the person Sara this morning was the nicest person I have ever encountered at a Starbucks I wish all of the Starbucks had nothing but Sara’s working in them she was very sweet, professional and welcoming, like I said I’ve never encountered that in any Starbucks I’ve ever been to in any state and I travel a lot!!! Thank you Sara!!!

I want to go to Starbucks on morning’s just to get out of the house for a while to feel the taste of a coffee. It was a nice the vibe for me almost everyday.✌

Mostly i like the cappuccino and Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino as well as Mocha cookie crumble Frappuccino from here.

Overall I enjoyed this location.

If I could give a negative I would. I am.so tired of ordering somerhing, repeating myself three times, seeing the correct thing on the screen then getting home with the wrong thing. Orderd a gingerbread CHAI latte and get home with a latte. There are a lot of coffee places around so I think I will give them my business instead.

We are a Starbucks family and visit multiple times a week. We often hit the drive thru but on Saturday (Dec.17th at 2:30) my daughter suggested going inside. Sadly, the trip took a turn for the negative the minute we stepped inside. The guy taking our order greeted us with a smile and was kind and welcoming. Once we walked down to pick up our drinks I was rather disgusted. The entire area was gross! Counters were sticky and liquids and other powders or mixtures were everywhere. Garbage was on the floors and the place was in complete disarray. I listened as the two ladies making drinks talked about being “emo” and “hating all people”. I watched as they barley cleaned pitchers out and then started yet another drink in that same dirty nasty container (It would have taken 60 seconds to properly rinse it out!) In addition they laughed and bragged as they added mocha chips to multiple drink so they could make more than one order at a time and laughed and joked about customers even noticing the extra ingredient in their drink. These drinks are $5-$8 each……now I need to wonder if the employees are just winging it to simplify their job?!?! And they joke about it?!?!

When our drinks were finally done, I was handed my Carmel Machiatto only to have caramel smeared all over my hand and sleeve as it dripped all down the top and side of my cup. I asked the girl behind the counter to please put it in a new cup so it wasn’t sticky and, with an annoyed response, she just slid another Venti cup over it and handed it back.

I love Starbucks! I also understand being busy, understaffed and overall exhausted. What I don’t understand is a filthy work space when preparing food, employees bragging about altering customers drinks for their own laziness and over all poor attitude/customer service.

I’m hopeful this was just an off day for this particular location but for us it was quite disappointing and will detour me from visiting anytime soon!
