Ordered my iced coffee and wanted to use a reward. I was told i couldn’t because I didn’t have enough stars. When I mentioned that I thought the iced coffee only took 125 stars i was informed that they increased the fee to 200 stars and was forced to purchase my iced coffee. After coming home and reviewing my app I see that it only takes 100 stars to get a free iced coffee. The team member told me a lie. I wonder why that was? Staff isn’t rude but they’re not really friendly either. Maybe I just don’t fit their stereotype of a Starbucks customer.

I typically have good experiences here, but today, a girl at the window – Lakyn – felt the need to lecture me on how mobile ordering works.
I place mobile orders to prevent myself from forgetting to add ingredients and forgot to click the drive thru option, so it automatically set to in store pick up. I explained at the ordering screen that I had a mobile order and that I think it may be for in store pick up, she asked me when my order was placed. I told her that it was placed a minute ago (because some places don’t start your order until your check in), she said that they will “try their best” to have it ready at the window. I pull up to the window, she hands me 1 of my coffees, while letting me know that when I place online orders, it tells me how long it’ll be before it’s ready. I told her okay, that’s fine. I never once complained so not sure why she felt the need to tell me how mobile ordering is set. Then, she closed the window door quite loudly (not sure if she was trying to slam it or just lost control of it). My second coffee comes out, she hands it to me, then very disingenuously told me to “have a great day” as I drove off. Not sure what kind of customer service that is but I’d rather not be spoken to like I’m a child, and if you’re not going to be sincere when greeting your customers, maybe find another job?

Quick stop on our way through Abingdon. It’s not my practice to leave a review for every Starbucks I go to, but they made my iced London Fog absolutely perfectly. And the three young women working at 7:00 PM were as nice and pleasant as possible.

Excellent newly built Starbucks location. As a company, Starbucks, rather infamously, recently moved away from the cozy coffee house aesthetic that made them a household name for decades. With many locations removing comfortable seating, smaller parking lots, and an overemphasis on pickup orders through their app in an effort to increase the grab-and-go business model of other fast food franchises. It was antithetical to the entire purpose of a sit down and relax style coffee house and alienated customers in recent years. I bring all of this up to state that this new locations layout (and hopefully other new ones as well) is much more akin to the more homy Starbucks you might have seen a decade ago. The seats are plentiful and clean. The music is less pop, more jazzy, and the employees are polite and never make you feel rushed. Very pleased to see this return to form.

Ordered a large hot tea and when I went to drink it, the server had used only one cup (standard every time I’ve ever gotten one has always been two). Driving down I-81 and the cup instantly crumpled, spilling half of the drink down my lap. Nothing like paying $5 only to end up with a leg burn.

I just swung by here while on a road trip to grab a bite to eat. The staff were super friendly and accommodating! The place was clean and efficient. Everything you would want a Starbucks to be.

Just moved to exit 19 Abingdon area. I love Starbucks. I was so excited to see a new one had opened up less than 5 minuets from my house! This morning I did an online order at 6:15am. Got to the store around 6:25. Stood at the counter until 6:50. To find out my coffee had been sitting in the drive thru since 6:20. I was a little aggravated. They remade my coffee and refunded me.. BUT the coffee they remade has NO COFFEE IN IT! It’s milk and syrup! Won’t be coming back.

My coffee tasted kind of metallic and I was told that my 240 stars weren’t enough for my iced coffee reward. After looking it up, it takes 100 stars.

I would move here just to be able to go to this Starbucks every day. They set the standard for the brand that other stores should strive for.
