It took 15–20 minutes to get the simplest food items imaginable, with no explanation and no apology. Watching other customers get their orders while I stood there waiting for a brownie and a cake pop was incredibly frustrating.
If a nearly empty store can’t handle a basic order in a reasonable amount of time, that’s a serious problem. Completely unacceptable service.
To be honest, this particular Starbucks doesn’t have great connectivity compared to the outdoor areas. While waiting in line to place my order, I received a notification to update the Starbucks app. I let four or five people go ahead of me as I tried to complete the update, but in the end, the app wouldn’t update properly. I had no choice but to use a physical Starbucks card that wasn’t linked to the app to place my order.
About five minutes later, when the crowd had thinned out a bit, I went back to the counter to request a refund and repurchase using my updated card. That’s when I met Randy. Even though the whole process was rather inconvenient, Randy stayed calm and reassured me every time I apologized, saying it was no trouble at all.
Thanks to his kindness and professionalism, I’m writing my very first Google review. Having worked in customer service myself, I know how valuable and rare such genuine kindness can be. Thank you, Randy, for making my day a little brighter.
I have submitted online orders that indicate they will be ready in 6-12 minutes, yet I have gone to pick up my drinks and they are not ready.
Today, I placed an order at 12:22pm and it was not ready until 12:36pm. Other people, who waited in line and ordered while I was waiting for my drink, were served before me and when I politely asked about my drink, I was told curtly “we’re working on it.”
There is a code needed to use the bathroom, but at pickup, (after I have my drink and food), I have asked for the code and was told I needed to wait in line to obtain it. When I called and complained, the manager told me that was not their policy. I have asked for it since under the same circumstances, and was told the same thing, I needed to wait in line. There must be a way to somehow multi-task as a barista and make a drink at the same time you provide paying customers a modicum of customer service.
I also asked for them to fill my thermos with ice water and was told I needed to wait in line (again). When I pushed back, the gentlemen said, “I will do it this time, but next time you need to wait in line.” When I asked for ice (the water was warm), he looked at me and handed me the thermos and said nothing.
Regarding the environment, the bathrooms (that you need a code to use), smell and do not appear to be cleaned on a regular basis. They are also often out of toilet paper.
Between drinks and snacks, I spend roughly $450 per month at Starbucks.
I will NEVER go to this location again.
