This Starbucks used to be my absolute go-to spot, but today was a nightmare. I’ve had the strawberry matcha here countless times and it’s usually my comfort drink. But this time? I don’t even know what happened. The taste was so off, it was like straight-up sink water. I literally almost gagged after the first sip. I’m visiting from 11 hours away. I’ve been coming to this Starbucks every morning for a week now while my husband is in the hospital. I cannot express the service and hospitality I have received from the women at this store. They have been such a light during a darker time of my life! Every morning they ask how I am, and how my husband is. They’ve shed tears with me and given me smiles and compassion when I needed it. Idk if I look more forward to seeing them or getting my coffee at this point! If you want the best experience I highly recommend this store. Thank you ladies for the love and coffee. I’ll never forget my experience here.

Starbucks at Chevy Chase
This Starbucks used to be one of the best, but the quality has really gone downhill. For the price, drinks should be made right, but lately, the coffee tastes stale, and the drinks are either too strong or too milky.
On top of that, the morning staff is consistently rude. I understand they’re busy, but the rushed, impersonal attitude makes the experience unpleasant. A simple greeting and some politeness go a long way—especially when they make the drink incorrectly. In contrast, the evening staff is much more pleasant and welcoming.
I live in the area, and many people in my building have noticed the same issues. It’s disappointing to see this location decline, and I hope they turn things around soon.

I stopped here really excited to try the iced lavender oatmilk matcha drink for the first time. The drink I received looked off, but I figured it was just a case of food/drinks not looking like the picture so I took it and left. It just tasted like coffee, not matcha. Then I read the sticker and realized they gave me a blond espresso lavender latte — an entirely different drink. So disappointing…the service was great, but I regret visting this location :(.

Stopped here for coffee on our way home to NJ. We picked this particular location because it had a parking lot. My drink had a piece of plastic in it when I took the first sip….seemed like a wrapper of some sort. I’m sure it was just an accident but I’ve never had something like this happen at any other location I’ve visited. Drinks were out pretty quickly, but we had to wait on our 2 bakery items.

It was Noone in this place, you would think the service will be good, well it wasn’t. We had to wait almost 5mins before someone was say something. Than it was a employee cleaning up but you would think she was there to help no, now granted it’s was someone in the back of the store now it’s 12mins and Noone still ask for our order. i see a lot of bad comments about this place but i have been going here for over 9 years and never have i once had a bad experience the people here are so nice and helpful and honestly deserve a raise if they have to deal with people like the people leaving these comments. Sure they are human so they might mess up once or twice but don’t we all they don’t deserve the hate I see them get sometimes. The other day when i was here i saw someone ask for there drink to be iced so of course the people here made it iced then the person got mad because there wasn’t enough ice sure maybe it was a miss communication in which case you can ask nicely for it to be re made but no this person got so mad it made no sense to me. I have read 1 star reviews on this place complaining they look upset no they look tired sometimes because this is hard work they are doing not only are they making food and drink all day but they put up with Constant criticism for the tiniest mistake they make. I love this place and the people here i have even thought about applying to work here.
