Ever since this location has expanded, the quality of service has dramatically dropped. The drive-thru is so slow that I normally end up ordering online from the parking lot and picking it up. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt as it is relatively new and still figuring things out, however it has been at least 6 months of this now. Overall, it is a nice place, I love to study here, and the employees are nice, however it is has very slow service.

This Starbucks has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. First of all, the shift manager that was on duty that day, “Mr. Keith” was rude, unprofessional, and totally not worthy of being a manager anywhere. I frequent this particular Starbucks and have noticed his bad attitude before towards other customers. I will no longer come here. I will take my business to Dunkin Donuts, or anywhere else that sells coffee. This chain needs to be visited by regional or local management as many of the other staff also seem very uninterested in serving customers and have bad attitudes as well, with the exception of one young man (name begins with a D) who was very friendly and courteous. As for the others, please don’t work in the customer service industry if you aren’t friendly and don’t want to serve customers. Please take a page out of Chick-Fil-A’s book- they always greet customers with a smile and are very pleasant and accommodating and obviously enjoy their jobs. I will also comment that many of the staff here are inconsistent with their drink making and don’t follow the recipes. The drinks tend to be either overly sweet or watered down. This location needs some help.

ORDER AHEAD- ORDER AHEAD
Firstly, I am so grateful that we have a drive thru Starbucks so close now! I anxiously waited for so many months until it finally opened! The design and layout out inside is so great. It’s a wonderful location to meet up, or if you’ve got some casual work or light reading, this is a great spot.
My only complaint is how long it takes to be serviced. I have been in line for 20 minutes now and I’m still several cars back from the pick up window. I feel bad for the person a few ahead, with their car top down in the sweltering sun!
Literally if you’re not driving thru at opening up to 830 am on a weekend, or closing time, expect to wait in the drive thru for a very long time. I always kick myself for not ordering ahead. If you are nearby and suddenly think you’d love to pick up a quick coffee, just run into the Harris Teeter one across the street. This wait time kills me! Today was 10:36-10:57 for service. If you plan to go on your way to church, give yourself an extra 30
The staff has mostly been nice. They don’t seem to be over friendly but they do well for a customer service role. Minus the opening crew last weekend- I got there around 815 and I had ordered ahead. Ran in to get my drink and no one greeted me. It was empty (woohoo!) but they were all standing there quiet like brooding hens lol I know it’s early but the other locations have set the bar higher with being a lot more cheery and greeting every customer.
So mixed feels on this place but super grateful to have it at all. I know time and coffee complaints are a first world problem.

What truly sets this place apart is their exceptional customer service. On one occasion, the Starbucks at the nearby mall completely botched my mobile order—wrong drink entirely, and they refused to remake it. Frustrated, I stopped here instead, explained the situation, and without hesitation, the barista cheerfully fixed it for me on the spot, no questions asked and no extra charge. It turned a bad experience into a loyal customer’s delight.
The drinks are consistently well-made, the seating is comfortable, and the overall vibe is relaxed and inviting. In a world of rushed coffee runs, this location feels like a genuine community spot. Highly recommend—it’s my go-to now!

Ever since this location had expanded the service is terrible. I used to visit this location when they were next to the Popoeys daily. Now I only come when I absolutely have to. The staff is very rude and slow. There is no reason an order ahead order should take 25 min. Go across the TraderJoes. You will have a much better experience.

I just moved to Bowie and I am disappointed with this Starbucks. Seems like a very popular Starbucks like others in the area. However, the drive-thru is extremely slow and they do not offer the green stoppers for the hot drinks like the other locations. For this reason alone, I rather travel to Waugh Chapel Starbucks. The stickers are useless, especially if your walking.

Cannot make an iced matcha latte to save their LIFE. This is from someone who WAS a barista at Starbucks. Barely shaked the drink so there were clumps. Legitamtely like drinking sludge. This has happened twice now so i dont dare order anything more “complicated” then this

So excited they finally opened the new place! Lots more room, same great crew. Parking is so much easier over here as well.

Good food and drinks, nice and polite staff, but the drive thru line is easily the slowest and least efficient of any Starbucks that I have ever been to. It doesn’t matter if there is one car in line or ten, each time I wait almost 20 minutes for my order. Please improve the drive thru efficiency!
