I wanted to leave a reply to the person who left a review about the barista making a “racial” comment towards his wife by saying the pull apart bread tastes like monkey bread – and how he said he’s sure that. I such thing exists. Well, yes monkey bread exists, and yes the pull apart bread at Starbucks tastes just like it. No one was being racist or incentive. They were simply describing how something tasted. I’ve provided a picture of monkey bread. Lastly, I wanted to add that the baristas at this location go above and beyond in serving the community.

I have been a loyal customer at your store for years, consistently ordering the same drink every time: a plain English breakfast tea with nothing added. I prefer to add my own cream and sugar, which is why I always request the tea to be served without any additions.
Since the COVID pandemic, I have noticed a decline in staff quality and attention to detail. Most recently, my tea has been tasting off, prompting me to check the orders I received. Attached are pictures to support my claim that the staff placed both a Royal English Breakfast teabag and an Emperor’s Clouds and Mist teabag in the same cup. This is not what I ordered, and it has happened multiple times during my visits.
Given that I pay around five dollars for a cup of hot tea, I expect the order to be correct and consistent. I am disappointed by this recurring mistake, which feels intentional at this point, especially since I have stayed in the store multiple times and made my preferences clear.

I am seriously considering not returning to this location, as this recent experience was the last straw for me.

The atmosphere is definitely inviting, open, and mostly clean. The menu is consistently changing every few months, which is normally good, however, they tend to remove popular items or those that you typically want when planning to stop after it’s been a couple of months since your last visit.
Food is tasty and filling, and they make your drink per request, I haven’t had any baristas butcher our drinks or forget to add what’s requested. The only negative is the customizability limitation on sandwiches and the removal of certain desirable menu items.
Employees are usually friendly and soft-spoken when it comes to dining area closings etc. They are helpful, and they answer questions truthfully and understandably to those who may not understand the “Starbucks Lingo” per se.
Overall good experiences when I’ve stopped in and I would recommend this location over several others in the Pittsburgh/Monroeville area!

Everyone is always nice at this location but this morning I stopped in to get a few drinks and I ordered a black coffee with halfn half and cold foam which is my usual— I’ve never opened my cup to add sugar and it be so low and they didn’t add the half n half. Little disappointed

The baristas working at this location are superstars and they all deserve a raise! We came here for a few hours this morning after the huge widespread power outage all over Pittsburgh. They waited on literally hundreds of customers and were fast, friendly and efficient the whole time. Despite the understandably long wait they made sure everyone was taken care of. If you come to this location tip generously because they deserve it!

Employees are friendly and nice. Be prepared , when paying with a card they will hand you the card reader and say” its going to ask you a question”, that question is how much do you want to tip. You can tip nothing and push 0 or any amount you want. They are always nice so i do tip.

When my wife , whose African American asked for the person behind the counter to describe a simple cinnamon coffee cake, he very ignorant responded by asking if she ever had Monkey Bread, as if that is an appropriate or real description of it, in fact I’m sure it doesn’t exist. It was a young white male who needs to be corrected about social etiquette and not say things that reflect his racial bias. I expect management to act appropriately.

One of the best Starbucks in town, looooove the staff, even the customers are cool and seems relaxed and well behaved. I am there almost daily and when I miss a day they kind grill me for not visiting yesterday lol – thx y’all for great service

Everyday I order the same thing a Carmel Ribbon Crunch with extra Carmel drizzle and extra Carmel crunches with a warm cheese Danish. Everyday, the Danish is not warm because they make it to soon and let it sit 10 minutes while waiting for your drink and everyday there is never anything extra in my drink. I’m paying almost $7 for a drink that is never made correct. I understand there short staffed so I don’t ask for my drink to be made again. It’s not hard to read tho. I work in custom service also so didn’t even want to post this but telling corporate gets nothing accomplished either. Do better. Read what is suppose to be in the drink. Maybe tomorrow’s drink will be made correctly.
